Nelda Emfinger (Oralene)
Nelda Emfinger has enjoyed her many performances on the Princess Stage. Though her roles have been varied and numerous, she has a few which stand out as being among her favorites: Cemetery Club, Oliver, Annie, Nunsense, and Oklahoma. A recent role for which she is proud is that of Director of the musical, Into the Woods. Nelda has served on the Princess Board of Directors for several years and as President for the past 2 years. She is happy to be on stage with good friends once again. Nelda enjoys time spent with family, friends, and her faithful cat Milo!
Leigh Johnson (Ruth Ann)
Leigh Jonson, no stranger to the Princess Theatre, has served in many roles over the past 21 years: actress, musical director, and keyboardist in more than two dozen shows, some 200-plus performances. But her favorite role of all time is playing LeLe to grands Holly, Bebe, Alexandra---and soon-to-arrive William. Leigh is the vice principal at Franklin Academy where she also teaches English, Spanish, and Fine Arts. Adventure seems to be her latest theme and she is excited about what her future has to bring. She thanks the Princess Theatre for the great memories and for the even greater friendships.
Judy Long (Gloria)
Judy Long is a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish. She lives in Baskin with her husband, Duane, and their Chihuahua, ACE. They have 2 beautiful daughters, Mandy and Katie, and 2 amazing grandchildren, Colten and Blair. She works at Progressive Bank and is actively involved in the community having performed many times on the Princess Stage the first time in 2002 in The King and I as Ms. Anna and most recently as The Witch in Into the Woods. In her spare time Judy enjoys spending time with her grandbabies, singing, running races, and camping with her family.
Kay Lafrance-Knight (Berneice)
Kay LaFrance-Knight, Winnsboro Main Street Manager and curator of the Old Post Office Museum, is no stranger to the stage, having played everything from Sally Bowles in Cabaret to the ditzy blonde Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday. Her most familiar roles at the Princess have been as Mother Superior in Nunsense I and II, Bloody Mary in South Pacific, and most recently as Jack’s Mother in Into the Woods. She lives in her family home in Gilbert with her 5 dogs (“my grrrrrls”) and one cat. Her philosophy? “On with the show!!”
