Barefoot in the Park Creative

Director
Yolla Rider
Yolla Ryder (Director) is delighted to be directing for PCT. A Master’s graduate in theatre from CSU Long Beach and resident of that city for many years, she began her career as a performing/directing artist with the ICC Center. She was a founding member of the Long Beach Actors’ Dessert Theatre and the Long Beach Theatre Festival. She produced many contemporary plays for the city, such as The Shadow Box, Vanities, A Breeze from the Gulf just to name a few. Yolla has also directed in the U.K. and holds a CCC Instructor’s Credential. It is her pleasure to work with this multi-talented cast and crew in this most wonderful play by Neil Simon. Cheers!
Producer
Barbara Mortkowitz
Barbara Mortkowitz (Producer) joined PCT as a volunteer in 2017. She soon agreed to be an assistant producer to learn the ropes and this is her first outing as full producer. We are excited to have Barbara as a part of PCT's production team!
Stage Manager
Phil Ryder
Phil Ryder (Stage Manager) has been an actor, director & acting/voice coach in California and Great Britain for more years than he'd like to admit; he's currently Director of Drama at Golden Sierra High School, Garden Valley. Phil is honored to serve this terrific 'Barefoot in the Park' cast and production team as stage manager.

Charles Davidson
Charles Davidson (Lighting Designer) has worked in professional, educational, and community theatre for 30 years and has contributed to over 175 productions as a director, performer, scenic designer, technical director, or producer. For PCT, he directed Godspell and Almost, Maine, Guys and Dolls and produced Harvey, Mary Poppins, Oklahoma, Nunsense, and Steel Magnolias. He appeared on stage last summer in Oklahoma! as Jud Frye. Prior directing credits include Schoolhouse Rock Live!, It’s Only a Play, Jake’s Women, The Diviners, and The Long Christmas Dinner. A graduate of the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts, Charles worked extensively in the Bay Area and Chicago before moving to Sacramento in 2007. He holds a master’s degree in Education from Drexel University and works as a corporate trainer. He also serves on the PCT board of directors.
Costume Designer
Linda Taylor
Linda Taylor (Costume Designer) has sewn specialty clothing and costumed shows for more than 35 years. This is her first show with Placer Community Theatre, and she's excited to be costuming Barefoot in the Park for a second time. She's very interested in historical costuming, and is currently working on the early Victorian era. Linda also acts and directs, sometimes co-directing with her husband, Scott Taylor. She makes an occasional foray into playwriting. She has an Elly award for Best Script Adaptation for a one-hour youth theatre version of A Midsummer Night's Dream, which she also directed. Linda freely acknowledges that Shakespeare gets all the credit for writing the funny bits, but she did work in Tickle-me Elmo as a key character.
Sound Designer
Liz Ryder
Liz Ryder (Sound Designer) has worked as a sound designer and composer for a number of years in the Bay Area and Sacramento, and is delighted to make her debut at Placer Community Theatre. She is an eight-time nominee for theatrical sound design, and holds a TBA award for her work on The Pillowman (Exit theatre, SF) and a Bay Area Critics Circle Award for her sound design and score for Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice (Custom Made Theatre, SF) where she was resident sound designer for three years. Other credits include: As You Like It (STC), Harbor (NCTC), Rapunzel, & 80 Days (Marin Theatre Co.), Betty's Summer Vacation (Stage 2) and The Awakening (The Breadbox) amongst many more.
