A Piece of My Heart Cast

Kat Balanzategui (Steele)
Kat is incredibly grateful to be a part of this cast and is honored to share the stories of women in the Vietnam War. Kat would like to thank Brooke and Gabe for teaching her everything she knows about theatre. Kat would especially like to thank Brooke for her hard work and dedication towards this show and PHSPA theatre.
Zoe Clair (Sissy)
Zoe first fell in love with theatre as a small child attending plays with her family. Since then she knew she wanted to have a career in acting, both on stage and on the screen. Zoe would love to thank Brooke and Gabe for teaching her, and helping her grow to where she is now. They have always believed in her and show her the potential she has. Thank you to the tech crew, Morgan Grant, and Eaton Alliance for everything. Zoe would also love to thank the women whose lives this play is based on. It is awful what war can bring, but it takes true strength and power to live through what these women did, and continue to put life and love into the world. Finally, Zoe would like to thank Brooke for being an amazing director, mentor, and friend throughout this whole process. This production would not exist without her. And thank you to all who came to support this show, and the stories within it.
Isaiah Cook (Hank/Soldier/Male Ensemble)
Isaiah has sure come a long way as an actor since he was a boy. He believes the strength that theatre brings to a community is the most essential part of any societies survival. Our little school has a lot to offer and Isaiah would like to thank Brooke Grant for her endless effort towards making this show what it needs to be. Although this show is about the women, Isaiah is super grateful for the opportunity to stand in the back light and help the women’s stories really shine.
Emi Dunn (USO/Danielle/Female Ensemble)
Kazia Egbert (Mary Jo)
Is it supposed to be in the third person. I'll do both. This show is so very eye opening. I have learned so much. Not only about acting, but about how war affects the life of every man, woman, and child who is a part of it. Thank you to Brooke Grant for helping me along every step of the way, she is an incredible director/mom #2. And thank you to my family and friends for being utterly fantastic. This show has guided me to realize that I want to spend my life helping people in whatever way I can. Because of this I plan to begin EMT training this coming spring. Without this show I never would've realized that this is the path that I want to take. So, (this is so long. I'm sorry.) in conclusion, thank you to EVERYONE that had ANYTHING to do with this show, and an even bigger thank you to the incredible men and women who serve/have served our country.
Miles Gourley (Rory/Soldier/Male Ensemble)
Miles Gourley absolutely loves theater and acting. He's over excited to be a part of A Piece of my Heart. Miles' hobbies include snuggling, snuggling, and snuggling. This has by far been his favorite play he's been in. He wants to give a special thanks to the director, Brooke Grant, the stage manager Sienna Cullimore, the tech crew, Eaton Alliance for letting us use their space, and all the cast members for making this wonderful play happen.
Berlyn Johns (Martha)
Talon Maurin (Bruce/Soldier/Male Ensemble)
Kayah Stepien (Whitney)
I have been performing and acting ever since I can remember but I can confidently say that Brooke Grant and Gabe Spencer have been the most influential and passionate teachers I have ever had. I am so grateful for all they have taught me and how much they’ve helped me believe in myself and my talents. I am so thrilled to be a part of this important and moving piece and I can not wait to share these powerful stories! I am so thankful for Brooke Grant and her dedication to us and this show. Thank you for being the best director/theater mom. Lastly, I would like to thank the cast and tech crew, my supportive parents, and the men and women who serve/served this country.
Kammie Thompson (Head Nurse/Female Ensemble)
This is Kammie's 3rd year and 8th show withPioneer, and she has loved every minuet of it! Favorite prior roles include: Sylvia and Miep Gies. Being in the Musical Theater Academy program at PHS has given her opportunities in Music, Dance and Drama that she wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. Kammie would like to thank her Family and Friends for encouraging her to always be the best performer she can be.
Julia Wihongi (LeeAnn)
Julia is thrilled to be a part of PHS's production of A Piece of My Heart.
