The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet Cast

Anika Lubbers (Narrator 1)
A Senior, Anika has been involved in three previous MVC productions as an actress. She has also been a part of multiple plays and musicals at church and at previous schools. She would like to thank Ms. Hansen for all the time and energy she puts into these productions every year. She would also like to thank the stage, costume, and tech crew for their willingness to help and their hard work behind the scenes. She would like to thank her family for pushing her to channel her inner drama in a healthy way through theater. She would also like to thank MVC for this program and opportunity to showcase our talents for God.
Bella Lisenby (Narrator 2; Lady Monotone)
A Freshman, this is Bella's first acting role. She would like to thank her parents for driving all the way up to Mount Vernon every day so she could participate in this play and for encouraging her and helping her practice my lines. She would also like to thank her fellow cast members for being supportive and helpful and just good friends back stage.
Sarah Keck (Nurse; Tybalt)
A Sophomore, this is Sarah's first show with MVC but she has participated in a number of other shows, including The Lion King jr, Into the Woods Jr, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, The Secret Garden, Jingle Bell Jury, and a Pirate's Life For Me. She would like to thank the cast for being fun to act with, and for working hard in rehearsals!
Isaac Betz (Romeo)
A 6th grader, this is Isaac's first production at MVC. He was in Beauty and the Beast at McIntyre Hall, It Can't Happen Here at Skagit Valley College, The Little Mermaid at Lincoln Theater, and church Christmas productions. He would like to thank his mom and dad for working with him on his lines.
Abigail Cushing (Juliet)
A 6th grader, this is Abigail's first role at MVC. She has been in one other production, A Christmas Carol where she played Jacob Marley. She would like to thank her dad for always telling her to do her best and stay positive. If not for his advice she probably would not have achieved the role of Juliet.
Liberty King (Lord Capitulate; Monk Larry)
An 8th grader, this is Liberty's 2nd production at MVC, having played multiple roles in last year´s play, ¨Reach Up, Rise Again." She would like to thank her parents for letting her do this, even though it has been stressful at times. She would like to thank God as well because he has been through all this with her.
Brianna Geer (Mercutio; Servant of Lord Capitulate)
A freshman, this is Brianna's first acting role. She would like to thank the cast and directors for being there for her when she needed help sometimes and helping her further understand what she is doing.
Shimrith Nemnich (Abram; Lady Capitulate)
A 7th grader, this is Shimrith's second show with M.V.C. Last year she helped with stage crew. She have also enjoyed playing Josie Pye in "Anne of Green Gables" for Peterson Conservatory, and as an extra in "Cry Wolf." She is grateful for all her parents do, for Ms. Hansen being patient with her, for her sister's help with her makeup and costumes, and for the people who have helped with the stage setup.
Emma Paulsen (Prologue; Monotone; Paris/Sampson)
An 8th grader, this is Emma's first role at MVC, but she has participated in two other productions. She would like to thank her best friends for being extremely supportive. She would also like to thank her family who helped her when she had doubts, and she would like to thank her creator for giving her this talent and opportunity to perform in front of her peers.
Brooklyn Hays (Gregory; Prince)
An 8th grader, this is Brooklyn's 2nd production at MVC. She would like to thank the directors for coming up with such a fun and creative play.
Peniel Nemnich (Balthazar; Benvolio)
A 6th grader, Peniel enjoyed helping with stage crew last year for Reach Up Rise Again. Other theatrical experiences include playing Moody Spurgeon in " Anne of Green Gables", and Peter in the play "Cry Wolf". He would like to thank Ms Hansen, Anika and Bella for their extra coaching and help. Thank you to his parents for running him to and from practices and encouraging him to persevere. Most of all he thanks God for everything.
