Hi! I’m Kaitlyn Helt. I am 14. I started doing theatre in 6th grade, and my friend group loved it. We helped to bring Musical Theatre back to Moore Middle School and put on the first show they had in 7 years. Doing Theatre has taught me so much. I have learned to accept differences in people and discover my talents, one of which is being excessively flexible. I have acquired more self confidence and got into doing Aerial Arts. I have met people along the way that I hope will stay with me forever, and I've met people that I hope I never meet again. I go with the flow to avoid stress and obstacles in my way, but when needed to step out, I will. I keep learning and I will have Theatre there to go back to no matter what I do. I learned to collaborate and participate no matter how embarrassing the task.

I am new to Theater, so Mama Bear is my first official role. Me and my class in elementary school would put on little plays in class. I was Jack for the 1st year and Papa Bear for the second year, and after that I don't know what happened to that. If I could only say one name it would be Ms. Barkey, but I am gonna have to say Ms. Pearo. She helped me get comfortable singing and public speaking, so she helped me make my way up and up. I do choir with Ms. Loose and that's about it for recent work. I grew up in Colorado only to learn I am Irish and my dad grew up in Idaho and my mom grew up in Utah. Both with different lifestyles, making the polite and wrecking kid I am today.

In 7th grade she was going to be Oompa-Loompa 3 in “Willy Wonka Jr.” but the show was canceled because of Covid. In 5th grade her school did “Press Start the Musical” and she was the Zombie. Being in this musical really pushed her into learning about theatre and acting. One teacher that really helped her with her acting is Ms.Barkey, her theatre teacher that she has had for three years. She has taught her almost everything she knows about theatre and acting. Last year her and a friend competed with a scene from “Anger Management” by Lyndsay Price at Jr. Thescon and they were invited to ITF but were not able to go because of Covid. She really likes to read and spend a lot of her free time doing reading. She also loves to bake, she makes mostly cookies and cakes but she loves baking other things too. She also enjoys making potholders, she has been for some time now.
Oskar Timm (Jack)
Before the first time I had theatre, I didn’t want to be in it. Then after the first day of school, it was like something had just opened my eyes. When I heard that we were starting a musical theatre elective, I knew that I had to join it. After that class, I joined musical theatre every year I could. I have been trained by my teacher Ms.Barkey. I have had the roles of Donkey in “Shrek the Musical Jr.”, Augustus Gloop in “Willy Wonka Jr.”, and my most current role, Jack in the “Big Bad Wolf Bros.” Theatre became my favorite class after my first day of 6th grade. Even when I was having a bad day at school, I knew that once I got to theatre, that would all turn around. I like being in theatre and musical theatre because then I get to make my character act like I do. Everytime I am in a play or musical, I strive to be one of the best characters in the show.
