A Chorus Line High School Edition Cast

Naomi Couch (Cassie)
Naomi Couch, who plays the role of Cassie, is extremely excited to be a member of the cast of The Chorus Line. Naomi lives in Macon with her family and attends the Miller Magnet Middle School. She is in the sixth grade, and her favorite subjects are Drama and Art. Naomi’s first play was at seven years-old with the Academy of Performing Arts in Macon where she played the character of Tully the Tiger in the production of Dr. DooLittle. She is best-known for playing the Matchmaker in Disney’s Mulan at Vineville Academy. Naomi has been in ten theatre productions with Macon Little Theatre and Vineville Academy. Naomi also enjoys dance, swimming, and creating ideas for screenplays. Naomi would like to give thanks to Ms. Silvia Haynie who began coaching her in acting at the age of seven. She would also like to thank Desi Giles for coaching her through her film auditions. Special thanks to her mom encouraging her in her love of acting and taking back and forth to Atlanta for film auditions.
Declan Myers (Zach)
Declan C. Myers, who plays the role of Zach, is excited to be a part of A Chorus Line. Declan Myers is the 13 year old son of Daniel & Jennifer Myers and brother to Betsy Kate! Declan was most recently King Agnarr in Frozen, Jr. Since 2nd grade he has been in more than 14 theatre productions! He loves all things theatre and music and is honored to be a part of A Chorus Line!!
Chinyere Cody (Lori)
Chinyere Cody, who plays the role of Lori, is extremely proud to be joining the fall production of A Chorus Line. Chinyere, who lives in Lizella with her family, attends Miller Fine Arts Middle School. She is in the 8th grade and her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Science. Chinyere's first appearance on stage was in the ensemble in Beauty and the Beast. She is best known for playing a featured dancer in Once on this Island. Chinyere enjoys dancing. Chinyere would like to thank her mom, step-dad, and both her sisters Sharina and Chana for all of their love and support. She would also like to thank her director, Ms. Sandie Butler for giving hjer this experience. Chinyere dedicates this performance to her grandad Fredrick Stroud, for taking her to her first Broadway show.
JaMiya Chappell (Shiela)
Ja’Miya Chappell, who plays the role of Sheila, is extremely proud to be a part of her final musical at Miller , A Chorus Line . Ja’Miya is in the eighth grade, and her favorite subjects are Math and Lunch. She has been in several productions including Aladdin Jr. , Beauty and the Beast Jr., and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This is her second principle role in a production. Ja’Miya also enjoys participating in competitive cheerleading and has recently taken on learning to cook . Ja’Miya would like to thank her Mom and Grandma for their love and support throughout this process . She also thanks director Ms. Sandie Butler for allowing her to be a part and enjoy this experience!
Jacob Bailey (Mike)
Jacob Bailey, who plays the role of Mike, is extremely proud to be a part of the cast in A Chorus Line. Jacob lives in Macon with his family and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. He is in the seventh grade, and his favorite subjects are Math and Science. Jacob also serves as WMAZ's Junior Journalist. Jacob would like to thank his family for their love and support. Lillian Harper (Diana)
Lillian Harper, who plays the role of Diana, is extremely proud to be in this production. Lillian lives in Macon with her family and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. She is in the 8th grade, and her favorite subject is Social Studies. Lillian first appeared on the stage in the 6th grade as Chip in Beauty and the Beast Jr. She was also Andrea in Once on This Island. Lillian also enjoys competing on the academic team, playing tennis and the violin. She is the 2019 to 2020 Miss Miller and loves it! Destiny Butts (Val)
Destiny Butts, who plays the role of Val, is extremely proud to be joining the cast of A Chorus Line. Destiny lives in Macon, GA with her family and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. She is in the 8th grade, and her favorite subjects are Science and Social Studies. Destiny first appeared in Beauty and the Beast Jr. She is best known for playing Asaka in Once on This Island and the narrator in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Miller. Destiny also enjoys reading practicing her Tuba. Destiny would like to thank her mom, dad, and grandparents for their love and support. She also thanks director Sandie Butler for allowing her to enjoy this valuable experience. Destiny dedicates her performances this season to her Mom who has always been so supportive of her acting.
Daniel Stanley (Richie)
Daniel Stanley, who plays the role of Richie, is extremely proud to be of A Chorus Line cast! Daniel is in the 8th grade, and his favorite subject is Math. Daniel first appeared on stage when he was in the 4th grade as part of the Alligator Gang in, "A Muskrat Lullaby!" In the past two years, Daniel has been in productions such as, Beauty and the Beast (Lefou), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Willy Wonka), Once on this Island (TonTon Julian), and Hansel and Gretel (Vigo). Daniel also enjoys singing karaoke with his family in Chorus at Miller. Daniel would like to thank his Grandmother, Aunt, and the Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church family for supporting and encouraging him to do what he loves. He also thanks director Ms. Sandie Butler for allowing him this opportunity to show his talents to Macon. Daniel dedicates all his performances in the memory of his late mother, Dannette Waller, who encouraged him to do what he loves.
Donovan Davenport (Paul)
Donovan Davenport, who plays the role of Paul, is excited to be a part of the play A Chorus Line. Donovan lives in Macon with his family and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. He is in the seventh grade, and his favorite subject is Math. Donovan has performed in the school’s play Once On This Island. Track and basketball are his favorite sports. He has also started to learn how to play the trumpet. Donovan would like to thank his mom, dad, and his brother Wesley for their love and support. Also, he would like to thank his drama teacher, Ms. Butler, for this excellent opportunity. Donovan dedicates his performance in the memory of his late grandmother, Carrie G. Byrd, a humble woman who instilled in him to pursue his dreams which will take him farther in life.
Ellanna George (Connie)
Ellanna George, who plays the role of Connie, is extremely proud to be joining the fall cast of the Chorus Line. Ellanna lives in Macon with her family and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. She is in the eighth grade, and her favorite subjects are English and Social Studies. Ellanna first appeared on stage as a wolf in Beauty and the Beast. She is best- known for playing a Motherless Child, in the Multicultural Affair. Ellanna also enjoys dancing and has recently begun cheerleading. Ellanna would like to thank her mom, dad, and sister Ellia for their love and support. Mary-Katherine Lewis (Kristine)
Mary-Katherine Lewis, who plays the role of Kristine, is extremely proud to be of A Chorus Line cast! She is in the seventh grade, and her favorite subject is Art. Ella Smith (Bebe)
Ella Smith, who plays the role of Bebe, is extremely proud to be of A Chorus Line cast! Ella is in the eighth grade, and her favorite subject is ELA. At Miller, Ella has been in productions such as, Beauty and the Beast, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Once on this Island, and Hansel and Gretel. Ella enjoys singing every chance she gets and being on the stage. Trevor Hudson (Greg)
Trevor Marquis Hudson is excited to play the role of Greg in Miller Fine Arts’ presentation of A Chorus Line. Trevor has portrayed lead characters in various productions including, Once on This Island, Hansel and Gretel, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He has a strong passion for acting and singing which is exhibited with joy and enthusiasm in every performance. Trevor has had the honor of participating in the Georgia Music Educators Association District 11 Honor Choir, as well as a scholarship recipient of the Otis Redding Music Camp. Trevor is an avid believer that kindness is an infectious character trait shared simply through a smile. He is grateful for the support of family and friends who have shaped him along the way. Trevor hopes each of you will enjoy the show.
Jeannya Merritt-Heard (Maggie)
Jeannya Merritt-Heard, who plays the role of Maggie, is extremely proud to be of A Chorus Line cast! Jeannya is in the seventh grade, and her favorite subject is Dance. At Miller, Jeannya had her breakout role as Ti Moune in Once on this Island. She enjoys singing, dancing, and being on the stage. Jeannya would like to thank her family for supporting and encouraging her to do what she loves. Jacen Williams (Bobby)
Jacen Williams, who plays the role of Bobby, is ecstatic to be a part of A Chorus Line. Jacen lives in Macon with his family and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. He is in the seventh grade, and his favorite subjects are ELA and Math. Jacen first appeared in The Multicultural Affair as Junior Bevil (Cool Runnings). He also enjoys writing and singing songs, playing Fortnite, and playing the flute with his Pep Band members. Jacen would like to thank his mom, dad, and sisters for their support and encouragement, and special thanks to his Drama Teacher Ms. Butler for encouraging him to open up more and allowing him to express his creativity to become a better actor. He dedicates his performance to his cousin Khary Payton, who played his favorite character as Cyborg in Teen Titians, and currently plays Ezekiel on “The Walking Dead”, he inspires Jacen to continue to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor while perfecting his craft in all his performances.
Thomas Rutland (Al)
Thomas Rutland is a 6th grade honor student where his favorite subjects are Science and Technology. In his spare time, Thomas is a true athlete and enjoys participating in all sports as well as studying sports history. He is the youngest child of Charles and Monya Rutland and the brother of Elijah and Edna. He is performing in his first stage play tonight in the role of "Al" and is very appreciative to Ms. Butler for the opportunity. Thomas is dedicating his performance to his Godmother, Ms. Angel Irving Cobb, who allowed him to star in his first play on her living room stage!
Sophia Clarke (Judy)
Sophia Clarke, who plays the role of Judy, is extremely proud to be of A Chorus Line cast! She is in the seventh grade, and her favorite subject is Chorus and Drama. She is no stranger to the stage, while at Miller she has been a part of Once on this Island and Hansel and Gretel. Courtney Rodgers (Vicki)
Cortney Rodgers portrays the character Vicki. She started her education in Pre-K at Northwoods Academy. Cortney then continued 1st through 5th grade at Vineville Academy of the Arts. There she received many awards for ballet, drama, chorus, and art. In the 4th grade, Cortney participated in the play Mulan Jr as a lead head dresser. This youngest of four (two brothers, one sister) now attends Miller Magnet Middle school to continue her studies in the 6th grade.
Oliver Jennings (Frank)
Oliver Jennings, who plays the role of Frank, is extremely proud to be joining the cast of A Chorus Line. Oliver lives in Macon with his family and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. He is in the sixth grade, and his favorite subjects are Math and Social Studies. Oliver has performed in Mulan and The Most Epic Birthday Party Ever at Vineville Academy of the Arts. Eva Ray (Featured Dancer)
Eva Monique Ray, a Feature Dancer in the Miller Fine Arts Magnet School’s production of A Chorus Line, is extremely excited to be a part as her first performance in Middle School. She is a 6th grader and her favorite subjects are English and Dance. Eva has danced since the age of 3 at Dance Arts Studio. She appeared in Vineville Academy’s 2018 production of The Most Epic Birthday Party Ever, and has danced in the Nutcracker of Middle Georgia’s production of the Nutcracker Ballet at the Grand Opera House for the past 4 years. In addition to Dance, she also enjoys drawing and is a member of the Art Club. Eva is also a member of FBLA. She would like to say thank you to her family members for all the support they give her, as well as the play Director and Choreographer for giving her this opportunity. Leah Howard (Featured Dancer)
Leah Howard is a seventh grade student at Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. She enjoys reading, writing, and dancing. Leah was named Miss Miller for 2018-2019. She is a member of the Junior Beta Club Honor Society, as well as the Future Business Leaders of America. While attending Miller, she has been active in sports. Currently, she is a MMS cheerleader. For the 2018-2019 school year, she received the following awards: Highest GPA in Social Studies, Highest Georgia Milestone Test Score in English, and Most Improved in Science. Furthermore, Leah also received awards in dance and volleyball. When she has free time, Leah likes to spend time with her family and friends.
Destony Woodard (Featured Dancer)
Desthony Woodard is excited about being a part of this wonderful cast of peers. Desthony is an eighth grader at Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. She loves dancing here at Miller and has been a member of the dance team since 6th grade. Desthony also takes Ballet at Studio Powers in Warner Robins, GA. Not only is Desthony a dancer, but she is a scholar and her strength is Reading. She is an Honor Roll student and makes her education here at Miller a priority. She is a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church here in Macon, GA where Timothy W. Price, Sr. is her pastor. She is a member of her church choir and youth department. Desthony is the big sister to Journee Woodard and the daughter of Westhony and Angel Woodard. Desthony would like to thank her family, church family, friends, and the staff here at Miller. Sanijah Brock (Featured Dancer)
Sanijah Brock, a featured dancer, is very thrilled to be part of the play A Chorus Line. Sanijah lives in Macon, Georgia with her family and attends the Miller Magnet Middle School for the performing arts. She is in the eighth grade and her favorite subjects are; Social Studies, English, and Math. This is Sanijah's debut performance, but she is very determined to attain recognition in this one. She is known to be a very strong dancer and her participations in talent shows and just dancing in general. Sanijah also enjoys playing basketball and plans to join the basketball team for her school. She will like to thank her mom, grandma, stepdad, and siblings for the love and support. Kaitlyn Grose (Featured Dancer)
Kaitlyn Grose, a featured dancer, is extremely excited to be joining the winter production of A Chorus Line. She’s in 8th grade & enjoys playing with her dog and doing things in the community. Kaitlyn also has the talent of playing the piano. Kaitlyn first appeared in plays at church. She also has been in other plays such as, Beauty and the Beast, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory & Hansel and Gretel. She has been in the Bibb County Magnet program since kindergarten. Rebecca is in the eighth grade at Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. She loves dance and drama. Her favorite subjects are Math and Science. She has appeared in Beauty and The Beast, Once on this Island, and Hansel and Gretel. Rebecca enjoys the outdoors and being with her family. Emily first appeared in the musical Beauty and The Beast when she was eleven years old as the lady with a cane. She is best known for playing the role Sonja in Hansel And Gretel. Cameron Tolbert, ensemble, is extremely proud to be a part of Chorus Line. He lives in Macon with his family and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. He is in the seventh grade, and his favorite subjects are Chorus and ELA. He would like to thank his family for their love and support. He also thanks director Sandie Butler for allowing him to enjoy this valuable experience.
Inari Mahone (Ensemble)
Inari Mahone, pit singer, is very proud to be a part of A Chorus Line. She was born in Macon and attends Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School. She is currently in the eighth grade. She is no stranger to the stage. She has been a part of Beauty and the Beast Jr., Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Once on this Island, and Hansel and Gretel. She would like to thank the director, Ms. Sandie Butler, for this opportunity and her family for their love and support.
