Griffin Lewis (Company)
Griffin Lewis is a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a vocal/choral emphasis. He has earned honors at the state, regional and national level in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) voice competitions while at Anderson University, both in classical and musical theater categories. This past summer, Griffin was selected as a National Semi-Finalist in Sophomore College Men (Classical) and Lower College Men (Musical Theater), one of only 14 singers in each category selected from across the United States. He then sang at the NATS National Competition at St. Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota. He was then selected as one of three finalists in the musical theater category in which he went on to win first place. He has performed in multiple shows in the Greenville area including Ragtime, Newsies, and as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Greenville Theater. Griffin is glad to be performing and he hopes you enjoy the show.
Joel Dupont (Company)
Joel Dupont is excited to be in his first production on the Mauldin Cultural Center stage. Joel is an adjunct voice faculty member at Anderson University and also has a love for teaching and vocal science. Joel most recently performed the role of Crutchie in Greenville Theatre’s production of Newsies. Additional roles include Quasimodo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid (YCPA), and Normanno from Lucia di Lammermoor (BJU). He is happily married to his wife, Sarah, who is a middle school music and choir teacher. “I Corinthians 10:31.”
Kristofer Parker (Company)
Kristofer Parker last performed in Rockabilly Heaven and as Jimmy Early in Dreamgirls at Centre Stage. Recent credit includes Hairspray (Award for Best Supporting Actor), Sister Act, The Wiz, The Hot, Mikado, Rent, Songs for a New World, The Producers, Jesus Christ Superstar, Wild Thing, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Rock ‘n’ Roll Forever, Splish Splash and Annie Get Your Gun (Award for Best Supporting Actor). “I’m thrilled to be a part of this cast and growth in Mauldin. Merry Christmas!”
Copeland Brown (Company)
Copeland Brown is thrilled to be making his Mauldin Cultural Center debut alongside an amazing cast and creative team. Copeland is a senior at Newberry College where he studies elementary education and musical theater. He is also a member of his school’s national winning competition cheerleading team. Even though this is Copeland’s first show on the Mauldin stage, he is no stranger to performing. Copeland has performed in theaters all over the Upstate, Columbia, and New York. He was most recently seen as Benjamin in Greenville Theater’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat and as Hugo in Tuck Everlasting. Some of his favorite roles include: Baker in Into the Woods, Shrek in Shrek, and the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz. Copeland can also be seen in the film Love, Simon as Tyler. He would like to thank his parents for their never ending support and all the gas money he has spent driving back and forth from Columbia!
Kate Riedy (Company)
Kate Riedy is thrilled to make her debut with the Mauldin Theatre Company. This time of year, Kate can be found clumsily clunking out Christmas carols on the piano and spending all of her money on gifts for her incredible family. When she isn’t searching for the spotlight, Kate teaches theatre at High Point Academy, SC Children’s Theatre and Spartanburg Youth Theatre. Favorite past shows include Newsies with Greenville Theatre; Into the Woods with Centre Stage; The Miracle Worker with SCCT; The Drowsy Chaperone with Tryon Little Theatre; and Twelfth Night with Converse College. Kate would like to thank this incredible cast, the entire St. Clair family, her wonderful family that is not ashamed to claim her as their own, and her Savior. “Merry Christmas everyone!”
Annabelle Poinsette (Company)
Annabel Poinsette is extremely proud to be a part of A Mauldin Family Christmas! Annabel’s favorite theatre credits include Ella Enchanted the Musical as Ella with South Carolina Children’s Theatre; Shrek: The Musical, JR. as Mama Bear/Mama Ogre with the Mauldin Youth Theatre; and Alice in Wonderland, JR. as Alice at Greer Children’s Theatre. She would like to thank her family for their love and support. She would also like to thank Tim St. Clair, II for allowing her to enjoy this valuable experience.
Meris Privette (Company)
Meris Privette is absolutely thrilled to be in her first production at the Mauldin Cultural Center! Meris is a senior at Vanguard Homeschool Academy and a dual credit student at Greenville Technical College. Her most recent upstate appearance was as Edna in Bright Star with the Mill Town Players. Some of her favorite past roles include: Kim MacAfee in Bye Bye Birdie and Lead Vocalist in California Dreamin’ with Mill Town Players; Gingy in Shrek: The Musical and Lina in Two Dancing Princesses with SCCT; and Abagnale Player in Catch Me If You Can with Greenville Theatre. In her spare time she enjoys playing guitar, singing, and spending time with her friends. She would like to thank her friends and family for their constant love and support, and she hopes you enjoy the show!
Becca Payne (Company)
Rebecca Payne, a mezzo-soprano, is excited to make her Mauldin Cultural Center debut! A Greenville, SC native, she has been seen on various stages in the Upstate, most recently as Beatrice in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas with GLOW and in the ensemble in The Hunchback of Notre Dame at the Younts Center for Performing Arts. Past performances include Alice Beineke in The Addams Family Musical with The Market Theatre; LaVerne Andrews in Sisters of Swing with Centre Stage; as well as several roles with FIRE Theatre at the Younts Center, including Inga in Young Frankenstein, Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, and Nellie Forbush in South Pacific. She has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Memphis and has studied at the Université Catholique de Lille. Rebecca would like to thank all of her loved ones for their unending support while she continues to pursue her dreams!
Tim St. Clair, II (Director, Company)
Tim St. Clair, II started the Mauldin Youth Theatre program in 2017 and has been directing sold out Youth Theatre shows at the Mauldin Cultural Center ever since. He has worked in local theaters across the Upstate since 2010 along with being the resident music director at the Greenville Theatre since 2012. He is excited to now bring theater and concert shows to the Mauldin Cultural Center. Both on stage and off, he loves being in the theater community and creating productions for audiences to enjoy. Mauldin Youth Theatre directing credits include Shrek: The Musical, JR., Disney’s The Lion King, JR., Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, JR., Disney’s Aladdin, JR., and Disney’s Frozen, JR. Among his musical direction credits are Newsies, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Oliver, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Les Miserables, Forever Plaid, Legally Blonde, All Shook Up, Mary Poppins, Hairspray, and Beauty and the Beast.
Michelle Malone (Choreographer)
Michelle Malone spends her days as a technical recruiter for Kopis, while her evenings are dedicated to teaching dance at Artistic Edge Dance Center. Past shows that Michelle has had the honor to work on include Singin’ in the Rain and Mary Poppins at Spartanburg Little Theatre, Bye Bye Birdie at Mill Town Players, and Newsies at Greenville Theatre. “I’m so excited to have been able to dance with these amazing singers to this spectacular Christmas music! Special shout out to my husband and my two incredible daughters for being awesome and loving me so well. Enjoy the show and Merry Christmas to all!”
