About Beautiful Rejects

At some point in our lives, we all experience hurt. This hurt could be self-inflicted through the opinions we hold about ourselves or caused by the words or actions of others. No matter the source of the pain, the reality is that it becomes part of who we are. In community, we are able to process that pain with other humans who care for us and want to see us succeed. Those other humans are helping from a place of brokenness, as their own process informs the advice and guidance they offer. The fact is, we are all broken, or have been broken. The choice is ours whether or not we stay in that brokenness.

It is in the shared brokenness that we find solace. Our imperfections as humans make us approachable. They make us more human, not less. Beautiful Rejects is a phrase that captures this shared brokenness and redemption. As we learn to embrace our shared experience, we become unstoppable. We become beautiful.

Tonight, we sing for the voiceless. We celebrate the broken. We embrace the process. Tonight, we invite you to let go of the lies that have been spoken about you and join us as Beautiful Rejects.
