About Muder by Poe

“Playwright Jeffrey Hatcher guides us into the House of Poe, a dark space with as many rooms as there are tales. Doors and cabinets open to reveal corpses, weapons and every detail of the crime scene…These murderers and victims take the stage like figures from our nightmares. They describe and reenact their stories as if the theater were a laboratory and we were students watching humans turn themselves into experiments.” —NY Times.

Kansas City KS Community College

Our students find a careful balance between classroom instruction and practical theatre experiences.  Our multicultural program promotes student involvement in all areas of production including acting, stage management, scenic, costume design and construction, lighting, projections, sound, props, and front of house management. We strive to collaborate with excellent local professionals whenever possible to give real-world experiences. As spectators, participants or performers, all students at KCKCC may share in these activities.

Some of our professional friends we have collaborated with in the past include Darren Sextro, Missy Koonce, Kris Kirkwood, Jonathan Robertson, Wendy Scott, Gretchen Halle and Nancy Robinsson.

Our full time Faculty include Gary Mosby - Theatre coordinator and Design and Technolgy instructor and Cinnamon Paulette, Theatre performance instructor.
