Darren Sextro has directed nearly 30 productions on regional stages, including A Doll's House, Skylight, My Old Lady, Crimes of the Heart, and Old Times for Kansas City Actors Theatre; A Doll's House, Part 2, The Humans, Informed Consent, The Way We Get By, and Buyer & Cellar for the Unicorn Theatre; (Against) Type and Desire: An Evening of Plays Based on Six Stories by Tennessee Williams for UMKC's Graduate Theatre Program; The House of Yes for The Fishtank; Kindertransport and To Kill a Mockingbird for the White Theatre; and Wonder of the World, God of Carnage, and ART for The Wright Opera House (Ouray, CO). He is a member of the Artistic Board for Kansas City Actors Theatre and a past Board member of the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival.

Scenic & Lighting Designer
Gary Mosby
is Coordinator of Theatre here at Kansas City Kansas Community College, as well as, heading the Theatre Technology area of the department. Gary teaches the theatre technology classes, including 2 levels of stagecraft and 2 levels of lighting and stage management and also designs the scenery and lighting for the department productions. In addition to his work here with the students, Gary enjoys working as a scenic designer with several local professional companies, such as Unicorn Theatre, KCRep, and Kansas City Actors Theatre. Some recent college designs would be Lobby Hero and the very popular production of Heathers the Musical and professionally, Sea Marks and Death and the Maiden and most recently Master Harold and the Boys “My favorite part of theatre and teaching is collaboration, sharing ideas and experiences”. Gretchen Halle
Gretchen is a graduate of UMKC’s MFA Costume Design and Technology department. She has designed Young Frankenstein, and Nightwatch here at KCKCC, as well as teaching costume courses, she has also recently designed Babel and Bernhardt/Hamlet at Unicorn Theatre in KCMO and As You Like It at Illinois Shakespeare Festival in Bloomington, IL.

Jonathan Robertson
Jon Robertson is a composer and sound designer based in Kansas City. He is excited to be returning to KCKCC having recently designed Into the Woods and Heathers. He is an adjunct instructor at Missouri Western State University this semester, previous semesters he has instructed at UMKC and the Kansas City Art Institute.

Properties Designer/Scenic Artist
Wendy Scott
An accomplished artist in a variety of mediums, Wendy has worked in New York, France and around the US. Her theatre work in Kansas City includes the New Theater Restaurant and the MET. For the past 10 + years, Wendy has been the resident Property Master and Scenic Artist at KCKCC. She received a Kennedy Center Award for Scenic Artistry in 2012 for her craftsmanship on the Theatre Department’s production of Smokey Joe’s Café. A successful businesswoman, Wendy owns Kitschup Creations, designing celebrity and custom prayer candles sold in various emporiums around Kansas City, the U.S. and internationally (find her online at kitschupcreations.com). Skylar Harper
This is Skylar Harper’s fifth production at KCKCC. She has previously been seen in Heathers (ensemble), The Election (Christy Martin), Into the Woods (Jack’s Mother), and No Exit (Estelle). However, this is Skylar’s first time working off stage at KCKCC. Skylar has enjoyed the opportunity to Assistant Direct with Darren Sextro and work with all the other designers and actors. Skylar would like to give a huge thank you to her friends and family for their constant love and support.
