The Wizard of Oz (R.S.C. 1987) Cast

Paige Verbsky (Dorothy Gale)
Paige Verbsky is a Junior at Hillsboro High School. She is extremely excited to be playing Dorothy Gale in this year's production of The Wizard of Oz. Her previous acting and musical counters include a club singer her 8th grade year in the production Leader of The Pack, Mrs. Banks her freshman year in Mary Poppins, and Morticia Adams in The Addams Family her sophomore year. Paige plays piano and sings often as a pastime. One of her current accomplishments was getting into and performing for the WSMA High School State Choir. Paige serves as Vice President of her high school choir, President of her class, and a member of the student council. She would like to thank her family for the constant support in her crazy schedule and everyone who helps to make productions possible.
Erich (Eddie) Mobley (Scarecrow/Hunk)
Erich Mobley is so very pleased to be able to play the part of Scarecrow/Hunk in this year’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Previous theatrical appearances include The Addams Family as Fester Addams at Hillsboro high school and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown as Charlie Brown at St. Paul's school in Wonewoc. Erich is a sophomore and his interests include playing and listening to music and playing in Pep Band…. lots and lots of pep band. In school, he is currently in band, jazz band, choir, show choir, and the school pep band. When Erich graduates high school, he hopes to then move forward to UW Madison to major in music and become part of the UW Badger Band. He would like to thank his family for being such a big influence all throughout his life. He would also like to thank his previous director,Val Hageman, for the musical performances he was apart of and for being an amazing teacher and director at his previous school.
Molly Crandall (Wicked Witch of the West)
Molly Crandall is a senior at Hillsboro High School. She is excited to be portraying the Wicked Witch of the West in the musical the Wizard of Oz. This is her 4th and last production at Hillsboro. She was a part of the musicals Cinderella and Mary Poppins as an ensemble member her freshman and sophomore years. She also portrayed Grandma Addams in The Addams Family her junior year. After high school, she plans to attend college to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Molly would like to thank everyone who has pushed her to be better, to her parents for making time to attend everything in her crazy schedule no matter how hectic it gets, and she would also like to give a HUGE thank you to Mrs. Parker for all the long nights and giving 100% into every show no matter what and for always having an open door (and couch) when she needed it.
Teresa Couey (Wizard & Professor Marvel)
Teresa Couey is a senior at Hillsboro High School. She is thrilled to be playing the magnificent Wizard of Oz and Professor Marvel in this years production. She has also been in the productions of Cinderella her freshman year and Mary Poppins her sophomore year. Teresa plays the alto and tenor saxophone, sings in choir and plays softball. She enjoys extra curriculars such as jazz band, creative writing, theatre and tutoring in the elementary school. She is very excited for her last year of high school. After high school, Teresa plans on going to college in Platteville for elementary education. She would like to thank her family and close friends for their continuous support.
Ethan Huffman (Lion)
Ethan is a senior at Hillsboro high school. This is his 4th production at Hillsboro high school. Ethan was an ensemble member in the production of Cinderella his freshman year. In 2017 he was Von Hussler/ensemble in Mary Poppins. Last year, he played Mal Beineke, the uptight dad in Addams Family. This is his largest role to date, and he is excited to be playing the Lion. He would like to thank his family for all of their support.
Billy Filler (Tinman/Hickory)
This is Billy Filler’s 3rd play that he has been a part of. He was part of the crew his freshman year, in the play Mary Poppins. His Sophomore year he played Lucas in the musical the Adams Family. Now, he is playing the Tinman, the same part that his mother was when she was a highschooler. Billy enjoys watching plays as well. He went to New York on a choir trip and watched the plays Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, and Aladdin. He would like to thank his director Paula Parker for all of the work that she has put in to this play. He would also like to thank Dori Stahlkopf for taking time out of her day to practice his solos with him during his free time. Billy also does solos, duets, quartets, madrigals, and theatricals during solo ensemble.
Grace Holthe (Glinda)
Grace Holthe is a junior at Hillsboro High School. She is excited to be portraying Glinda in the Wizard of Oz. This will be Grace's 4th production at Hillsboro, she has been in: The Addams family, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and Leader of The Pack. She would like to thank everyone who has helped with this years musical, and wants to thank her family for supporting her through it all!
M. Laskowski (Guard & Munchkin Mayor)
M. Laskowski is a sophomore at Hillsboro High School. Laskowski is happy to be a part of The Wizard of Oz as the Guard and Mayor of Munchkinland. Laskowski has also portrayed Pugsley in last year's production of The Addams Family. Laskowski wishes to thank everyone who makes these productions possible.
Willow Glenn (Ensemble)
Willow Glenn is a junior at Hillsboro High School. She has performed in the ensemble of musicals such as The Addams Family and Mary Poppins and plans to continue performing until she graduates. Willow is also involved in Vocal Jazz, Show Choir, Solo & Ensemble, and will be participating in the upcoming district honors choir. She would like to thank her choir teacher Mrs. Paula Parker for encouraging her to move out of he comfort zone and for always believing in her. She would also like to thank her friends and family for all their love and support, and wishes the best of luck to her fellow cast members in this year's production of The Wizard of Oz.
Emily Thompson (Ensemble)
Emily Thompson is homeschooled and is currently in her freshman year of high school. She recently moved to Hillsboro from South Dakota. Other than the Wizard of Oz, she has preformed in four other musicals including Annie and Frozen.
Kayla Amerman (Ensemble)
Kayla is excited to be performing in her first high school role as a crow. Kayla has formerly appeared on stage in crew at hillsboro high school. Kayla wishes to thank Mrs.Parker for her tireless contribution to the drama program.
Savannah Britzke (Ensemble)
Savannah Britzke is a freshman at Hillsboro High school. She is excited to be performing in her first musical. Savannah plays alto saxophone and bari saxophone in concert band. She is an alto singer in the high school choir. She has participated in the middle school Eau Claire Honors band. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support. She also thanks Mrs.Parker for her hard work and time put into the play. She hopes the play goes splendidly.
Delana Hill (Ensemble)
Delana Hill is an 8th grader at Hillsboro Middle School. She has also been in Mary Poppins as an ensemble member on stage. She plays the clarinet and does dance, especially in her room listening to Hamilton. In the future, she wishes to continue doing theatre and music throughout highschool. Delana wishes to thank Mrs. Parker for all the time and work she puts into the plays every year, and to thank her family and dogs for their love and support.
Megan Muller (Ensemble)
Megan Muller has been interested in music for 11 years and has been in the musical for two years, 2018 in the Addams Family ensemble also 2019 in the Wizard of Oz ensemble. Megan is also involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, fall and spring trapshooting. She is also an FFA Officer and is in Art Club and Jazz Band. She has a job at Beezers and also spends time babysitting in her free time, she has had experience with kids for many years. She would like to thank her mom for getting her interested in music, her Aunt Jeneen for helping her with music and helping her learn some small things, and last Mrs. Parker for getting her involved with the musical and singing at church.
Hannah Munson (Ensemble)
Hannah Munson is currently a senior in high school. In the past years she has participated in three musicals; Cinderella, Mary Poppins, and The Addams Family. She would like to thank Mrs. Parker for putting together the musical. She would also like to thank the audience for coming to watch.
Lexie Thorson (Ensemble)
Lexie Thorson is an 8th grader at Hillsboro Middle School. She is excited to be a part of the ensemble in her 2nd musical, The Wizard of Oz. Lexie has formerly appeared as Fannie in Hillsboro’s musical Mary Poppins, when she was in 6th grade. Also, Lexie is involved in sports, and she is the Vice President of the Hillsboro Middle School FBLA. Lexie wants to thank her parents for all the support they give her and Mrs.Parker for all of the work she does to put on this production.
Ashley Tulley (Ensemble)
Ashley Tulley is a freshman at Hillsboro High School. She enjoyś playing the role as a Munchkin for the Wizard Of Oz.Ashley Loves Acting and Dancing and has had a dream of being on Broadway since she was 10. Ashley is a soprano in her school choir and enjoys it very much and this is her first year doing the musical! Ashley would love to thank Mrs.Parker for everything she puts into these beautiful productions!
Savannah Urban (Ensemble)
In past years, Savannah has been part of the ensemble for Cinderella, Mary Poppins, and The Addams Family. She’s a senior and as of right now she doesn’t know what she wants to do in the future. She has been in Track and Cross Country throughout high school. She has also been in dance classes since she was seven. She would like to thank her mom for supporting her with everything.
Andrea Auel (Ensemble)
Andrea Auel is a Junior at Hillsboro High School. This is her third time participating participating in a play. During her freshman year, she was an extra in the production Mary Poppins. During her sophomore year, she was one of the ancestors in the production The Addams Family. In her free time, Andrea enjoys playing percussion instruments and the guitar.
Mia Brown (Ensemble)
Mia Brown is a senior at Hillsboro High School and is involved in her fourth Hillsboro Production as part of the ensemble. She appears as a jitterbug and a munchkin in The Wizard of Oz and plays in the pit band as well. In addition to the musical, Mia runs cross country and plays the flute. Mia would like to thank everybody who has helped contribute to the musical.
Ella Burch (Ensemble)
Ella Burch is a freshman at HHS and this is her first production. Ella enjoys playing volleyball and softball. She has always been interested in musical theatre and is very excited to be a part of the show. She would like to thank her mother and father for inspiring her to be ambitious.
Freeman Burch (Ensemble)
Freeman Burch is a junior at Hillsboro High School. This is his first school production, but he has done many shows (Renaissance fair) with his dad. Freeman is portraying Nikko (the monkey leader), tree # 5 and a fellow Ozian. His nickname as a young child was "little monkey." Freeman would like to thank Mrs. Parker for the opportunity.
Melissa Viola (Ensemble)
Mel Viola is a 17 year old foreign exchange student from Brazil. Her host parent are Tom & Paula Parker. In her free time, Mel enjoys surfing, skateboarding, dance and sports, especially soccer. Her true passion is song writing and performing her own music. She plays multiple instruments including piano and guitar. This is Mel's first musical, and she has been very helpful with choreography for this show. She would like to thank the students at Hillsboro for being so welcoming and kind.
Aaron Frederick (Uncle Henry)
Aaron is a senior at Hillsboro High School. He has been participating in every musical that's been done in the last 4 years. Aaron was in the ensemble for Cinderella and Marry Poppins and was in the pit band for The Adams Family. He is also in the pit band for this musical. Aaron plans on going to the University of Richland Center to become a teacher. In addition to being involved in drama, he has been in the chess club all of his high school career. Aaron wants to thank Mrs. Parker for the time she has taken to do musicals every year since most schools our size don't usually do one every year. He'll appreciate all of the musicals that he's been a part of for the rest of his life.
Lydia Krug (Ensemble)
Lydia Krug is a homeschooler in 11th grade. She has been in one theatre production as an ensemble member in Mary Poppins with the Richland Center Community Players in 2015. She also enjoys playing the piano and is hoping to study cosmetology.
Kevin Osorio (Ensemble)
Kevin Osorio (senior) is excited to be performing in this fall’s performance The Wizard Of Oz. This is his second play/performance and he is involved in band and choir. Kevin wishes to thank Mrs. Parker, friends, family and everyone who put their time and effort into making this performance.

Savannah Pooley (Ensemble)
Savannah is excited to be performing in her 2nd high school role. She has formerly appeared on stage in Mary Poppins as the lead, Jane Banks, at Hillsboro High School. In addition to drama, Savannah is actively involved with dance where she participates in tap, ballet, and jazz. Savannah wishes to thank Mrs. Parker for her amazing work on this musical and as a Director. She would also like to thank her Mom and Dad for all their support.
Gable Pooley (Ensemble)
Gable is 10 years old and is in 4th grade at Hillsboro Elementary. Gable is excited to be on stage again in " The Wizard of Oz" as The Coroner Munchkin and a Flying Monkey. Gable's past performances include the Fox in "Cinderella" (2016) a Hillsboro HS production, a lead role- Michael Banks in "Mary Poppins" (2017) a Hillsboro HS production and a Flying Monkey in "Christmas in the land of Oz" (2018) with The Community Players of SouthWest Wisconsin. Gable's interests include singing, dancing, entertaining, acting and hanging out in his yard with friends. Gable would like to thank Mrs. Parker for all of her hard work and his Mom and Dad for encouraging him. He thanks you all for being here and he hopes you enjoy the show.
Devan Chute (Ensemble)
Devan Chute is a 2nd grader at Hillsboro. She has previously been a part of last year's production of The Addams Family. She has also been a soldier and candy kid in the Nutcracker and was a part of Candyland. Devan is also in dance. Devan enjoys dancing and singing. She would like to thank her mom for her work with the program and tickets, and her dad for helping build the set.
Olivia McCauley (Ensemble)
Olivia McCauley is a 4th grader at Hillsboro. She has been a part of the Nutcracker portraying Clara. Olivia enjoys crafts, dancing, and playing with her dogs Lucy and Daisy. She would like to thank her mom, dad, and dance teacher Beverly Wilson.
Tarynn Barreau (Ensemble)
Tarynn Barreau is a 4th grader at Hillsboro. She in the production of Cinderella and has went to New York for dancing. Tarynn likes to spend her time playing with slime. She would like to thank her mom and dad for signing her up and giving her rides to places.
Stella Dunek (Ensemble)
Stella Dunek is a 4th grader at Hillsboro. She has previously played roles in the Nutcracker. In her free time, Stella enjoys playing with slime and watching YouTube. She would like to thank her mom and her dad.
Hannah Miller (Ensemble)
Hannah Miller is a 7th grader at Hillsboro. The Wizard of Oz will be her first production. She enjoys art and singing. Hannah would like to thank Mrs. Parker for making this opportunity possible and her mom and dad for believing in her.

Kate Holthe is a 5th grader at Hillsboro. She has appeared in the production of Cinderella as a mouse. She enjoys art and music. Kate wants to thank her mom and dad for supporting her interests.
Alyssa Prenkert (Ensemble)
Alyssa Prenkert is a 5th grader at Hillsboro. She has been in several dance recitals. Alyssa started dance when she was little. She enjoys singing, dancing, and arts and crafts. Alyssa would like to thank Molly Crandall for driving her to play practice where there isn't school.
Daphne O'Hair (Ensemble)
Daphne O'Hair is a 5th grader at Hillsboro. She has been in dance class for 3 years and really enjoys dancing. She would like to thank her mom for providing for her.
Hayley Berg (Ensemble)
Hayley Berg is a 3rd grader at Hillsboro. She has been taking dance for 5 years and has played a princess in a dance selection about Maleficent. In her free time, Hayley really enjoys to dance. She would like to thank her dance teacher, Jess, for encouraging her to dance.
Jake O'Hair (Ensemble)
Jake O'Hair is a 7th grader at Hillsboro. He has never been in a production prior to this one. He would like to thank Mrs. Parker for her dedication to this show.

Garrett is a 7th grader who has been a part of the last several musical productions at Hillsboro HS, including Cinderella, Mary Poppins and Addams Family. He would like to thank Mrs. Parker for all of her efforts.

Elijah Mobley (Ensemble)
Elijah is 8 years old and is in the 3rd grade at St. Paul's school in Wonewoc. This is Elijah's first production at Hillsboro high school. He has been in small skits previously at St. Paul's. He plays piano and likes to sing. He also loves sports, especially soccer. He would like to thank his brother Erich for encouraging him to be a part of the cast.
