has been with the GTW since its first play, Beautiful Bertha, the Typewriter Girl, in 1974, having the opening line. He has performed in 67 plays, directed 25, and has been involved in most of the group’s 137 productions. He also wrote two plays, They Came Two by Two and What’s Blak and Wite and Red All Over, which were performed by the group. He currently is a retired English teacher, who has continued to sub in the Newburyport Public School System in grades six through twelve.

has been involved in local community theatre productions for many years. Theatre is her home away from home. Ann has been involved with productions in Plaistow, NH, Haverhill, Georgetown and Newburyport. One of the perks that has come with working in community theatre productions has been the opportunity to live out her childhood dream and put on tap shoes and dance. Ann has learned, under guidance of talented folks, how to build and paint sets, and set up lights and sound. She has developed a deep appreciation of the efforts made to bring all art forms to the seacoast. Ann has taken acting classes at The Actors Studio, Newburyport. The seacoast is truly a playground for all who love the arts.

This is Lou’s 45th year in the GTW. He is one of the co-founders of the group, which began in 1974. He has been involved in all aspects of the group’s productions: lights, sound, producing, directing, set design, and acting. He has been active in all of the groups 100 plus productions. His favorite productions were, I hate Hamletby Paul Rudnick where he played John Barrymore and God’s Favoriteby Neil Simon. His favorite scene was in Plaza Suiteby Neil Simon where he played opposite his wife Carol, as they were engaged in trying to get their daughter out of the bathroom so she could get married.

was looking for a use for her degree in Dramatic Arts when she joined Georgetown Theatre Workshop in 1986. Since then, she has performed in, worked backstage on, produced and directed plays with the GTW, sitting out only 2 productions in 30 years. She has lured most of her family and friends to perform or assist, and loves the opportunity to work with her kids. Her favorite play was Sisters Rosensweig by Wasserstein, in which she was able to play a romantic lead opposite her late husband, Ken. In Seniors of the Sahara by Barbara Pease Weber, she performed a belly dance, which was… memorable. Her proudest moment was when she directed a play authored by Christopher Dollas. In her real life, Gael is retired from having been a children’s librarian for more than 20 years.
