Co-Director
John Lavigne
John Lavigne has been involved in theatre, both on and off stage since his High School days, many, many years ago. He graduated from NYU with a Masters in Educational Theatre and started working at Edward R Murrow HS in the fall 2015. Since that time he has worked on 18 shows with the amazing students of the Theatre Program, designing and building sets, lights, and sound with the dedicated Tech Crew team. Prior to working at Murrow, John has been a designer, TD and Carpenter for Off-B'way and Off-Off B'way productions. He is also the Tech Director for Wombat Theatre Co, which he founded with a group of friends and colleagues from NYU. John is so proud of the outstanding cast and crew of Agatha Christie Made Me Do It! Break (virtual) Legs, everyone!

Assistant Director
Juliet Grochowski
Juliet is a senior in Murrow’s Studio Theater program. She is an active member of tech crew at Murrow and is currently head of the lighting department. She also appeared as Celia in As You Like It last November in the Joseph Papp Theater. Her most recent project was the Apollo Theater’s Teen Takeover 2020: Dear Future, for which she was the A1 and sound designer. This is her first show as an Assistant Director. She is pursuing technical theatre and stage management in college and hopes you will see her name in the “Crew” section of Broadway playbills in the future.
Sound and Foley Artist Mentor
James O'Connor
James is an alumnus of Edward R. Murrow High School. Throughout his four years at Murrow, he was one of the most involved and active crew members. You would often see him running sound and working behind the scenes at all the shows. Special thanks to James O'Connor for his passion, creativity, and guidance while working with the Sound department and Foley artists. We couldn't have done it without you!
