Little Shop of Horrors Cast

Jem Ornelas (Martin (and Seymour in school show)
Jem is the Thespian President of Troupe #4467, and Playbox Vice President here at East Union High School. He has been a part of the theatre program since his freshman year (2015), he's so thankful for the knowledge and support he's recieved from his teachers, Annette Taser and Gary Fritzen. He is memorable for his roles in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Next To Normal, Tartuffe, Grease, and Toy Camp. He has also been seen in all Coffee Houses and has been in almost every production here at East Union. Over the summer of 2017, he was featured in the musical Oliver! at the Gallo center in Modesto, as well as participated in the Netflix show 13 Reasons Why as an extra. He enjoys dancing with East Union's dance group Lucidity.
Dawson Mix (Seymour Krelborn)
Dawson Mix has recently joined the Theatre program here at East Union High School and has been heavily involved since. He has been seen in Iced Coffee House, My Fatal Valentine, and is more than excited to play Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, as this is his first ever musical. He is in two bands, "Better Late than Never" and "Talisman" playing Bass.
Monica Robison-Powell (Audrey)
Monica is no stranger to performing for a crowd - she is in her third year as a cheerleader at East Union High School and has participated in competitive cheer outside of school. She is currently the Thespian Secretary of troupe #4467 here at East Union High School and Playbox Juinor Treasurer. She has been seen as Wee One in Snow White and the Several Dwarfs, Next to Normal, and multiple Coffee Houses. She plans on being more involved on stage. She is nervous but very excited to play Audrey as this is her first ever lead role.
Jadyn Snaer (Audrey)
Jadyn Snaer is currently a Senior at East Union High School. She learned to play the piano at age 9 and has been performing live ever since. She has participated in every Coffee House this year and her first role was Sandy in Grease. She has been running track for as long as she's loved music and plans on running on a scholarship in college this fall. She has loved musicals ever since she first saw Cinderella as a child.
Owen Minderler (Orin Scrivello D.D.S)
Owen was convinced to join this term's musical theatre class by his close friends. His first role was Danny Zuko in Grease and he has been featured in most Coffee House shows this year. He has loved theatre ever since and is more than excited to be featured as Orin in Little Shop of Horrors.
Jamari West (Audrey II)
Jamari is currently a Junior at East Union High School. He started his theatre career in Next to Normal as Dan in Cast A and Henry in Cast B. He participated in Choir his freshman and has loved singing ever since and has been seen competing in two EU Idol shows.
Gabe Onate (Audrey II)
Gabe Onate is a first and last year theatre student as this is his last year at East Union High School. He has been seen in Iced Coffee House. He was very intrigued with this musical the moment he watched the movie. He is more than happy to be a cast member of Little Shop of Horrors.
Veronica Correia (Mrs. Mushnik)
Veronica Correia joined theatre her sophomore year and has loved it ever since. Veronica is known for her humorous characters in Coffee House shows. She has been seen in Snow White and the Several Dwarfs and Grease as Patty Simcox. Though she is not currently enrolled in Advanced Theatre, she continues finding ways to be involved. She plans to remain in theatre for the rest of high school and after.
Jorge Martinez (Bernstein, Mrs. Luce, Skip Snip, Chang)
Jorge Martinez began his theatre career as a sophomore and has been very heavily involved since. He has been seen in multiple Coffee House shows throughout his two years here. Jorge has previously starred in, Snow White and the Several Dwarfs as Good, Next to Normal as Nurse, and Grease as Eugene. He is Thespian Vice President of Troupe #4467 and Playbox Secretary. He is very familiar to stage managing, directing, prop management and anything that involves backstage.
Mykaila Garcia (Chrystal)
Mykaila Garcia is currently a senior and a proud four year theatre student and active Thespian at East Union High School. Since her sophomore year, she has been Treasurer of Thespian Troupe #4467 and starting this year is President and Senior Treasurer of Playbox Company. Mykaila has been featured in every Coffee House since her freshman year. She played Susan in 10 Ways to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse. She also played greek goddess Venus in I Love You, You're Perfect , Now Change. She did both lights and sound, as well as being on stage in French drama Tartuffe. Along with theatre, she has participated in musical theatre and was in the show Working as an office lady and a mill worker. Mykaila is very dedicated to her role here in Eu's threatre program and is immensely proud of the four years of intensive work she has put in our theatre program.
Jeffrey Rivas (Ronnette)
Jeffery made his theatrical debut last fall as a featured dancer in Grease. He is also a sophomore JV cheerleader.
Kaitlyn Leal (Chiffon)
Kaitlyn Leal is currently an active Thespian and serves as the Choir Vice President here at East Union High School. This year she was selected to perform in the San Joaquin County High School Honor Choir and she says it was an amazing learning experience. She has been a part of the theatre program since her freshman year and has been featured in multiple Coffee House shows since then. She has been seen in Working as Mill Worker Soloist and "Grease" as Radio Singer. She has an ongoing passion for musical theatre and plans to pursue her dreams after high school.
Zoey Clift (Georgia)
Zoey Clift has been in theatre since she started high school just last year. She has been seen in Iced Coffee House and Grease as Frenchy. Zoey has also been in cheer and dance since she was five and doesn't plan on quitting anytime soon. She will be continuing theatre for the rest of high school.
Taylor John (Shirelle)
Taylor John is currently the Thespian Treasurer of Troupe #4467 here at East Union High School. She has been involved with the theatre ever since her freshman year. She has been seen in Snow White and the Several Dwarfs and has helped with stage managing for Grease. She loves to be in our Coffee House shows and has actually MC'd for one of them. In fact, she's been singing since she could talk and has taken singing lessons. She and Kaitlyn Leal had a band in fourth grade that they constantly talk about bringing it back together to this day. participated in choir for several years in middle school.
Ivy Ames (Tammi)
Ivy Ames is currently a freshman here at East Union High School. She has participated in every coffee house this year and is now taking intermediate theatre. She has always been into acting and will continue doing so throughout high school.
Raelyn Driscoll (Dusty)
Raelyn is currently a freshman and has been in every coffee house so far. She can be seen on the sidelines cheering on the football team, she decided to be in little shop because she loves theater and the adrenaline it gives her, she has also been cheering and dancing since she was 4 years old.
Chloe Thur (Interviewer)
Chloe Thur has recently started her theatre career as a junior. She has shown interest in backstage jobs, such as lights and sound. She fell in love with the Little Shop of Horrors film which inspired her to audition for this production. She plays the flute with the East Union High School Band and has performed for multiple band competitions.
Joshua Lucas (Customer, Street Kid)
Joshua Lucas is currently a freshman and was intrigued to join theatre after seeing our production of Grease, which then inspired him to audition for the spring musical. Josh is always seen with a smile on his face. He is more than happy to continue theatre for the rest of his high school career.
Abbagael LaFrance (Street Zombie)
Abbagael LaFrance is currently a freshman here at East Union High School and she began her theatre career in the Musical Theatre class. She was seen in Grease and two previous Coffee House shows. She definitely has a passion for musicals as her favorite one is Heathers. She also plans on continuing theatre for her next three years of high school.
Damaris Linares (Puppeteer, Assistant Stage Manager)
Damaris Linares started her theatre journey as a freshman. She did shows like How to Survive High School Without Really Trying,Working, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Snow White and the Several Dwarfs, Next to Normal and Grease. She worked backstage and helped with several productions. She has been in Choir for several years and writes her own music. She later discovered her love for writing and finished writing a musical with the choir director, Mr. Frizten.
Stephanie Ordway (Puppeteer, Stage Manager.)
Stephanie has been in theatre since she was a freshman and has been continuously involved since. She fell in love with Coffee House shows and has been featured in most of them. She was seen in Snow White and the Several Dwarfs, Crushed, and most recently Grease.
Annette Taser (Director)
Mrs. Taser earned her teaching credential from University of the Pacific with a double major in English and Theatre. She earned her Master's Degree in Dramatic Art from UC Davis. In addition, she studied acting and screen writing from the UCLA Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, attended the High School Summer Institute at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival, and spent over ten years studying music and voice. Mrs. Taser earned a Hollywood Drama-Logue Award for acting for the role of Rachel in To Gillian on Her 37th birthday and appeared on stage in numerous plays and musicals. She can be heard on the original cast albums for Metaphasia and Thumbalina. She performs at wineries, civic events and private paties as part of the band Frankie & Annette. Mrs taser taught elementary school for two years and high school at Saint Mary's for three years prior to joining the faculty at East Union. This is her nineteenth year of teaching.
Melissa Bugarin (Choreographer)
Melissa Bugarin-Campos is a former East Union Theatre and Choir Alumni. She graduated from CSU East Bay with her Degree in Human Development and currently works as a Senior Stylist for Stitch Fix- a personal styling start up out of the Bay Area. She’s danced for more than 15 years training locally in Stockton at Delta College but also in San Francisco and L.A. Choreographing musicals for high schools around MUSD has been her passion projects and she loves doing them in her spare time! Past Productions include: Sound Of Music and Metaphasia at EUHS as well as a multitude of Choir shows at Lathrop High School.
Gary Fritzen (Music Director)
Mr. Fritzen graduated from Long Beach State University with a BA in Choral/Vocal Music. He has over nineteen years of high school classroom experience teaching choir, guitar, piano, music appreciation and AP Music Theory. Additionally, Mr. Fritzen served as an Adjunct Professor of Music for Santa Monica College, which debuted several of his original musical works including Alice and the Trials of Wonderland, Tibet, Uncle Vanya and Thumbalina. A prolific playwright, Mr. Fritzen authored numerous musicals including the award-winning Metaphasia and his newest, America 9-11, which debuted at the Utah Freedom Festival in in 2016. His first book "Little Twig of Thorns," based on an original ballet, was made available on Amazon in the winter of 2017.  Mr. Fritzen’s newest musical, A Stitch in Time, is being prepared for publication.
Chloe Pel (Puppeteer)
Chloe, who recently starred as the Dancing Teddy Bear at the Winter Homecoming and Night Rally, is not afraid to take a risk on stage, even if it means performing blind.  In her last two roles, including this one, Chloe literally could not see.  Her next role is Marina from The Little Mermaid, opening at East Union in late March.
Amaiya Guyton (Puppeteer)
Amaiya, who made her debut at East Union as an 8th grader, was featured as a little Fairy in Snow White.  She previously was featured on stage and served as crew in productions for her church.  Amaiya is currently involved in wrestling, GSA, BSU and the Playbox Company Club, and would like to become a Thespian in the near future.
Pelu Ordway (Homeless Dog)
Pelu Ordway is Stephanie Ordway's dog. He is very excited to make his debut in Little Shop even though rehearsals were ruff. He one day hopes to make it big on Dogway.
Brandon Tavares (Trumpet)
Brandon is a senior at East Union. He has been seen in Coffee House with the Senior band. He has played the trumpet for 10 years and has been part of the East Union band for both junior and senior year.
Emily Halcomb (Trumpet)
Emily is a senior at East Union. She's a four year band student and has been in band eight years total. She's been practicing the trumpet for eight years as well. She is also skilled with the guitar. She will be majoring in music next fall at Azusa Pacific University.
Grace Scott (Flute)
Grace Scott is a senior four year band student here at East Union. She has participated with the senior band for Coffee House shows this year. Along with the flute she plays piccalo, piano, and guitar. She joined band in fifth grade and has continued it ever since.
Cody Nun (Drums)
Cody Nunn is a senior at East Union. He's been rocking the drums for thirteen years. He is captain of drumline and has participated in it all four years. He's also been in band all four years. This year, he started playing on our football team. As an aditional hobby, he enjoys playing in Portuguese band. He has previously been seen in Next To Normal playing in the band.
Hunter Campbell (Percussion)
Hunter Campbell is a sophomore band student here at East Union. He has been in band since the fifth grade. He is a skilled percussionist and has been holding this responsibility for five years. Hunter also plays guitar and piano. He has previously been seen playing in the band's performance in Coffee House. Hunter also does drumline and swim.
Spencer Oberman (Guitar)
Spencer Oberman is a senior at East Union. He has been seen in How to Succeed in High School his Introduction to Theatre year. Spencer is also a four year football player here at EU. He has been in guitar class since his sophomore year and that's where he started his guitar journey.
Bryan Fernandez (Keyboard and Special Effects)
Bryan Fernandez is a senior and three year band student at East Union. He also participates in Mariachi and jazz band. Although he's only been playing the keyboard for two short months, he has many other instruments under his sleeve. Brian can play baritone, trombone, cello, string bass, guitar, piano, guitarone, and flute.
Madison Theiss (Clarinet)
Madison Theiss is a senior and four year band student with East Union's band. She has been seen in our Coffee House shows with the senior band rocking intermission. In the past, she's been apart of cross country, track, and tennis. She has been playing the clarinet in band since the 5th grade.
Savannah Hudson (Tenor Saxophone)
Savannah May Hudson is currently a senior. She has been seen in Coffee House shows with the senior band. She has participated in varsity tennis, soccer, swim, and drum line here at East Union. She's been in band ever since the 5th grade. She plays both alto & tenor saxophone and has been doing so since she started participating in band.
