About Fiddler on the Roof

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

Drama in Motion Performance Works

Started in 2013, DMPW is the result of many years of community theater experience by its founders.

The mission is to provide community productions as well as offer a haven for artistic freedoms and equality. We offer scholarships to those in financial need for lessons in all facets of the performing arts, and also offer a learning theater environment for our Performance Works Youth Academy members. We insist on a no bully environment with a family atmosphere. We also offer outreach assistance with social issues and work to make our community a better place.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  We can be found on GuideStar for nonprofits and also on Amazon Smile. Please consider donating your yearly contribution to keep the venue alive for many years to come.
