Man of La Mancha Cast

Evan Knott ‘22 (Don Miguel de Cervantes/ Don Quixote)
I have been a part of DeMatha’s theater program for three years now and I have enjoyed every second of it. I am a recipient of DeMatha’s Father Donovan Drama Award. Some of my roles include and Mcnair in 1776 and various roles in Crazytown in 9th grade, and Timon in Lion King back in 8th grade. The DeMatha theater program has allowed me to interact with so many new friends and has allowed me to have an even better experience at DeMatha.
Adam Roman ‘24 (Sancho)
As a freshman, my DeMatha Theater experience has been short but great. I also participate in Voices of DeMatha, and have enjoyed that program as well. Some of my previous roles have been Aladdin (Aladdin), Prince Hans (FROZEN), both in 8th grade. I am a recipient of the Father Donovan Drama Award. I really enjoy theater here at DeMatha, and can’t wait to be in more shows here.
Peter Macyko ‘23 (The Governor/ The Innkeeper)
Even though my experience with the DeMatha theater program has be affected by Covid-19, I have had great impression not just with the directors, but with the supportive cast. I am a recipient of DeMatha’s Father Donovan Drama Award. Before DeMatha, I had performed a couple shows that I have enjoyed including Pumba in Lion King in 7th grade, The Genie in Aladdin in 8th grade, and would have been Pluto’s Guard in The Frogs in 9th grade.
Raphael Trudeau ‘21 (Pedro)
I’ve been in the DeMatha theater program for four years now and have been able to play a variety of roles thanks to that. I think my role as Pedro is poetic in a way as I’ve come full circle from starting out as Roger, one of the main villains in Lord of the Flies. It was the first role I ever played here at DeMatha and is very memorable. From there the program has allowed me to play various other roles including John Adams from 1776, a huge honor considering that it was the reboot of DeMatha’s musical productions, and Passepartout from Around the World in 80 Days.
Daman Decker ‘23 (Dr. Carrasco/The Duke)
Daman Decker is a sophomore and is excited to finally be making his DeMatha Players debut. He is a recipient of the Father Donovan Drama Award. Before attending DeMatha, Daman was active in both his middle school and local theatre group. While with these organizations he performed in Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Aladdin, and Robin Hood. His favorite performance to date is playing Harry Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life. When not on stage Daman can be found on the Gridiron, playing videogames, or reading. He would like to thank Mr. Rafferty for giving him this opportunity and to his fellow actors for making this such a fun experience.
Emmanuel Bertrand ‘24 (Padre)
Since I am freshmen, this is my first year being a part of DeMatha’s Theater Program. I am a recipient of the Father Donovan Drama Award. This is my fourth year acting within my schools. In previous years I have played a baker, Drake in Annie, Hans in Frozen, and now Padre. I especially enjoy acting, and with this cast it makes my experience even better. With all the difficulties with Covid I have been blessed to act in this new school and I am enjoying the new experience. I know the play will be amazing and I am glad to be a part of DeMatha and especially its theater program.
Worthy Beilman ’22 (The Barber/Juan the Muleteer)
This is my second year as a part of the DeMatha Theater Program, and I have enjoyed it greatly. I acted as Judge Obadiah in Around the World In Eighty Days in 10th grade, and was supposed to be William Shakespeare in The Frogs that Spring before it was cancelled due to the pandemic. The theater program has allowed me to meet new people and become better friends with people I knew who were already a part of it.
Ian Brown ‘22 (Captain of the Inquisition/Anselmo the M)
This is my third year in the DeMatha Theater Program, and I did musicals at my old school, St. Jerome’s Academy. Freshman year, I played as Dr. Hall in 1776. I have enjoyed the theater program in my time here and I think has especially helped me out during the pandemic, being able to have an after school activity to look forward too.
John Nichols ‘24 (Tenorio, Jose (muleteers))
This is my first year a part of the Dematha Theater Program, but I have been preforming plays for almost 5 years. Some of the plays include Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, and others. I have received DeMatha’s Father Donovan Drama Award and can’t wait for more years to come. This program has allowed me to meet new people and strengthen old friendships.
Ani Arzoumanian (Aldonza)
I’m from Elizabeth Seton High School, Class of 2023. This is my first year in the DeMatha musical, but I have been doing theatre for about 8 years. Some of my shows include Beauty and the Beast, Sister Act, and lots of original shows with my community theatre group. I have loved being a part of the DeMatha family so much. It was so much fun to get to know everyone, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this awesome show and amazing group of people.
Delaney Farr (Maria (Innkeeper’s Wife)/ Housekeeper)
I am from South River High School, Class of 2022. I am very grateful to be able to join the DeMatha players. I have been doing musicals at my school and outside of school for 7 years but this is my first show at DeMatha. It was an amazing experience meeting new people and doing a show in a completely new environment. I hope you enjoy watching the show as much as I enjoyed being a part of it.
Siena Do (Antonia)
I am from Brookewood School, Class of 2024. Ever since the pandemic started, I’ve sorely missed the opportunity to perform. Previously, I’ve been Bird Girl in Seussical, and Queen in Cinderella. Even though this production will no doubt be a strange one considering the circumstances, I am extremely excited for it. It has been a very enjoyable experience working with the DeMatha Players. Special thanks to the cast, crew, Mr. Raffety, and Mr. Eck.
