SPA Banquet is an awards night that honors the most talented and dedicated students in each arts discipline. We have two different award categories: Rising Star and Best of the Year. Rising Star is awarded generally to underclassmen who show promising talent and are expected to continue to grow as they advance within their arts. Of The Year Awards are received generally by upperclassmen for being the best within their arts category. Every year students are nominated by their teachers and then voted on by their peers. We are very happy to be able to recognize our talented students this year even though we are virtual. Furthermore this will be the last time Mongo and Mr.Williams, two loved and long time teachers at DSA, will host SPA Banquet. We hope you enjoy!

SPA Board is the Student for Preforming Arts Board at DeKalb School of the Arts. We coordinate our 9 different arts disciplines including visual arts, vocals, orchestra, band, creative writing, media, dance, drama, and tech. SPA hosts monthly meetings with each month featuring a different arts. We also promote arts advocacy. This year our board got to work in partnership with TED EX to create an arts advocacy video that should be out soon! Our board is comprised of 4 Executive members and 19 board members. Each arts discipline gets two representatives who are role models for their arts area and help to organize events within their arts. We are very proud of our board this year and that we were able to transfer many of our activities to online including monthly meetings, SPA Banquet, Fringe, and tonight's SPA Auction!
