About We Will Rock You

WE WILL ROCK YOU tells the story of a globalized future without musical instruments. The jukebox rock musical ties together many of the iconic songs of the British rock band Queen with a story and script by Ben Elton.

WWRY is about a group of young Bohemians who struggle against the all-powerful Globalsoft company to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music in a distant future where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same. In this world, musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is unknown or hilariously misunderstood. There are lots of sly references to classic rock lyrics that fans of all ages can appreciate and the well-known tunes of Queen rock the house until the final note.

Since 2002 over 15 million theatregoers in 17 countries have been thrilled by this awe-inspiring and hilarious futurist comedy that is based around more than 24 of Queen’s biggest hit songs including We Are The Champions, Radio Ga Ga, I Want To Break Free, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites The Dust and of course, We Will Rock You.

Be a part of what Ben Elton said, "eventually becomes a rock concert!"

CAN I BRING FLOWERS TO THE SHOW FOR A PERFORMER?

Yes you may but a wonderful alternative that our performers absolutely love and one that truly supports the theatre company is purchasing a flower and/or candy treat with a card to be sent to your performer with a special message. You may purchase your flower/candy gram before the show and/or during intermission. The cost is $1 per flower or candy and $1 per message. We will hand deliver it to your performer. The kids love hearing their names being announced when we bring the flower/candy grams back stage to them and ALL proceeds go to DHTC!
