Mason Dahlke (Albert Peterson)
Senior Mason Dahlke is excited about performing his first lead role in a CHS musical. Mason is especially excited to perform "Put on a Happy Face" and for the audience's reaction to his favorite song from the show, "Honestly Sincere."
Sarah Lasso (Rosie Alvarez)
Sophomore Sarah Lasso is making her musical debut this year as Rosie Alvarez. She is ecstatic about performing her first musical as one of the leads. She is particularly excited to perform the song 'Spanish Rose'. She hopes that this musical will be a huge success and that it can take other people's mind off of all the disappointments this year has brought to everybody. All in all, Sarah is very excited to be a part of this year's musical.
Liz Hoskovec (Kim MacAfee)
Sophomore Elizabeth Hoskovec has received her first lead role this year as Kim McAfee. She is very excited to sing her first solo in 'How Lovely To Be A Woman' and act with her friends. Although she is very disappointed that COVID has placed restrictions on the musical, she hopes she can make this show one of the best.
Alyvia Williams (Ursula Merkle)
Alyvia Williams is a sophomore, and is playing the role of Ursula Merkle in this years show. The most important part of the musical experience for her is becoming closer with people and finding the positive side of the hardships that this year has brought. One thing Alyvia is looking forward to is bringing happiness and humor to all those in the audience. Enjoy the show!
Riley Gausman (Mr. Harry MacAfee)
Sophomore Riley Gausman has been in many musical productions, but always looks forward to the one next to come. Riley is having a blast preforming as Mr. McAfee, and is always willing to share his love for musical theatre. His favorite song in this production is "Kids," because he says its fun to complain about kids as an adult.
Sarai Pacheco (Mrs. Doris MacAfee)
Senior Sarai Pacheco is very excited to play Mrs.Doris McAfee in her final high school musical. She is looking forward to performing in her favorite song of the show, “Hymn for a Sunday Evening” with the rest of the McAfee family. Sarai loves to start each rehearsal by leading an energetic warmup to get everyone in the right mindset. Sarai also enjoys singing, dancing, and acting with all of her cast mates and cannot believe four years has gone by so fast.
Eric Martinez (Randolf MacAfee)
Eric Martinez plays Randolph MacAfee in the Bye Bye Birdie Musical. He is a sophomore and is very excited for performing with his MacAfee family. He enjoys to sing and act with his fellow friends, and is always up for a challenge. He loves to draw, animate, and write music in his spare time, and he's very much excited for the show!
Olivia Brittenham (Mrs. Mae Peterson)
Olivia Brittenham, a junior, is appearing in her third high school production as Mrs. Mae Peterson. She is very excited to be working with some new cast members. She is excited to see how the whole show will end up and is anxiously awaiting show week to see how all of the hard work put into the show will pay off. Olivia enjoys being able to set an example for the underclassmen and to help lead the show to an outstanding performance.
Hunter Colegrove (Hugo Peabody)
Junior Hunter Colegrove gets to be on stage as Hugo Peabody, a protective boyfriend over Kim McAfee. He is excited to see how the show will turn out, and is especially excited for the Act One Finale. Hunter is thankful for the time he gets to be on stage with his friends and is looking forward to performing, even in the age of COVID.
Owen Papstein (Conrad Birdie)
Sophomore Owen Papstein is ready to wow audiences as THE Conrad Birdie. Owen is excited about diving into a new type of character and to do everything he can to enhance the show.
Jenna Taylor (Helen)
Sophomore Jenna Taylor can be recognized on stage as Helen. She loves all of the scenes she’s in, but is especially looking forward to ‘Telephone Hour.’ Jenna is excited to see what her and her castmates can put together, considering the COVID circumstances. She is grateful for the time she is able to spend with her cast mates and directors and is confident in saying they are all her friends.
Kenya Leon (Nancy)
Senior Kenya Leon is ending her high school drama career this year as Nancy. She is emotional to end performing with her second family outside of home, but is excited for what’s next. She is excited to preform ‘Telephone Hour’ because of the cool props and choreography. Despite COVID restrictions taking a toll on this musical year, she won’t let that stop her ambitions.
Bri Eickhoff (Alice)
Junior Bri Eickhoff is in her third school musical with the role of Alice. She is very excited to be acting and singing this year even with the COVID regulations. Her favorite song in the show is the trio she sings “One Boy”. She loves being able to be with her friends and hopes to put on an amazing show!
Aaliyah Grafe (Margie)
Senior Aaliyah Grafe is making her musical debut this year as Margie. She is very much looking forward to acting and dancing on stage with the cast, especially in "Lot of Livin." Other than that, Aaliyah is excited to see how her and fellow senior Annie Trotter's choreography looks on stage. Aaliyah loves to act and dance with all of her friends during rehearsals.
Christina Harrin (Deborah Sue)
Senior Christina Harrin is excited to perform in her last musical in high school as Deborah Sue. She is hoping that this year is even better than her last shows she was in and hopes to bring happiness to people during this hard time with putting on a great show. Aside from putting in some work and trying to focus on this year's production, Christina loves making friends with the other castmates and making the environment at rehearsals fun and energetic.
Annie Trotter (Penelope Anne)
Senior Annie Trotter is making her last year within the musical very memorable. She plays as Penelope Ann along with Sad Girl. She has choreographed a few numbers within the show finding her passion for dance to be a great benefit for all of the cast. She also has pushed herself in the building aspect of the musical by putting in a few extra hours with the scenic construction crew. Annie is filled with excitement to show the city how hard the directors, cast, and crew members have worked to make this year the best yet.
Bryan Alvarado (Harvey Johnson)
Bryan Alvarado is a sophomore making his on-stage debut in a CHS production. He loves to sing and plays the role of Harvey Johnson. Singing is not his only talent though; he loves to play pretty much any instrument he can get his hands on. He is really looking forward to the final product that all of his effort has been placed towards.
Caitlin McKee (Reporter #1)
Caitlin McKee is a senior returning to the musical stage as a Chorus Member and a Reporter. She has been in musical all four years of high school and is looking forward to seeing how the younger students will do. She is excited to perform in her last show and is thankful to perform during the era of COVID. She hopes that many people will enjoy watching the show.
Cas Campbell (Reporter #2)
Cas is senior performing in their third show on stage with CHS, having done backstage last year. This year they are performing as a reporter and chorus member while also working with the build crew. They are looking forward to having their final show of high school be full of fun song, dance numbers, and colourful characters.
Kenneth Fuentes-Quelex (Mayor)
Freshmen Kenneth R. Fuentes-Quelex is making his musical debut as The Mayor, a Chorus Member, and part of a quintet. He is very excited about acting on stage with his character's wife and child. He is really excited for "The Telephone Hour". Even with COVID 19, he plans to make the best performance he can give. He is excited to dance, sing, and act on stage with his old and new friends.
Alissa Pacheco (The Mayor's Wife)
Freshman Alissa Pacheco is appearing in her first musical at Columbus High School. She is very excited to be acting by her fellow teen chorus girls, and her onstage husband, the mayor. Her favorite songs in this musical are "One Last Kiss" and "A Hymn for a Sunday Evening." She is super happy that they are still able to perform the show even in times of COVID. Alissa is getting more and more excited each day to perform and she loves being able to sing, act, dance, and more.
Abigail Degn (Mrs. Merkle)
Junior Abigail Degn is playing Mrs. Merkle in this production of 'Bye Bye Birdie.' She is excited to be able to put on a show in spite of COVID-19 and is looking forward to performing big song and dance numbers with her fellow castmates, particularly 'Honestly Sincere'. Abigail enjoys being able to work with such a talented group of people during rehearsals and can not wait to see how the show comes together.
Angelina Bustillos (Gloria Rasputin)
Senior Angelina Bustillos is ending her final year with a big bang performing as Gloria Rasputin. She is very much looking forward to acting alongside her peers once more. She is very excited to see how the show will turn out. Angelina loves to act and joke around alongside her friends during rehearsals.
Noemi Loaiza (Traveller)
Senior Noemi Loaiza is finishing her last high school musical as a part of the cast. Noemi has been a part of the theater department since her sophomore year, mainly with the stage crew. She is thankful she stepped out of her comfort zone and got the chance to be a part of this show. This year has been very hard for a lot of people but being a part of this show has given Noemi an escape from the difficulties this year has thrown at her. Noemi is very proud of this show and of her cast mates. She is excited for everyone to see what they’ve created.
Khabreya Higgins (Chorus)
Freshman Khabreya Higgins is making her musical debut this year in the chorus. She is very much looking forward to showing the people what she can do and how hard she has been working and showing people how she can act. Other than that, Khabreya is excited to see how the show comes together in this time during COVID and she loves to be able to have an actual rehearsal in person with her fellow cast members.
Enyssa Arps (Chorus)
Junior Enyssa Arps is returning for a third year of musical playing an ecstatic Teen Girl. She is looking forward to producing a great final product with her cast members. Enyssa is also thankful for the chance to put together an amazing musical with all of her friends, even with COVID trying to drag them down.
Brooke Wickens (Chorus)
Sophomore Brooke Wickens is thrilled to join the 'Bye Bye Birdie' cast as a Teen Girl. She enjoys being able to scramble over other human beings and shove them out of the way without consequences, especially in these COVID times, where that sort of contact is a big no-no. Aside from trampling people with impunity, Brooke is excited to be performing with her friends on the Nantkes Auditorium stage.
Emily Reed (Chorus)
Sophomore Emily Reed is a chorus member in this year's musical. Emily is looking forward to participating in a variety of scenes with her other cast members. Emily hopes that this year's musical will be a success and that there will be many musicals to come in her high school career.
Jessica Reiff (Stage Manager)
Senior Jessica Reiff will be the stage manager for the show. 'Bye Bye Birdie' is Jessica's fourth musical, and the third one she has stage-managed. She is very dedicated to the technical side of CHS theatre and is an integral part of these shows coming alive. She is excited to make her last high school musical amazing.
Jenesi Reppert (Light Board)
Junior Jenesi Reppert is a part of the tech crew. She is the head of lights and runs the light board for the stage. Jenesi is excited to see how the actors improve as rehearsals go on and hopes to see excitement in the light of this pandemic. She is excited for others to see the show and enjoy it as much as she does!
Libby Wurdeman (Crew)
Libby Wurdeman is a senior and is in her fourth year of participating in the CHS Theatre Department. Libby started out in the ensemble for her Freshman year fall musical 'State Fair', but later transitioned into working in the crew for the remaining musicals and plays. In crew, Libby likes how she learned new skills that she can adapt into her adult life. Overall, as a fan of musical theater, Libby is grateful to have the opportunities and experiences over her high school years.
Garrett Ferguson (Crew)
Senior Garrett Ferguson joined the crew by way of Stagecraft class, a class that taught him to use tools, draw items to scale, and build theatre scenery. Garrett is looking forward to seeing the show on stage and seeing the scenery he had a hand in building.
Ellie Trotter (Crew)
Senior Trishelle Trotter is a small voice but a big help behind the curtains. She loves to watch the play move forwards through the tough year dealing with COVID-19. She enjoys listening to her twin sister, Annie Trotter, sing the songs in 'Bye Bye Birdie' and admires all her work and the cast's work with making the show come to life.
