About We Will Rock You Student Edition

"We Will Rock You," based on the music of the band Queen, opened in May of 2002 and was an immediate hit in London's prominent West End Theater District.  It's a story that takes place in a post apocalyptic world where Rock and Roll music has been outlawed and the only music people can listen to comes from the mega-corporation run by a tyrant known as the Killer Queen.  Killer Queen now owns the internet, all forms of commerce and social media and also controls the government. No one dares oppose her except for a ramshackle crew of Bohemian rebels who are searching for the ancient texts of rock and roll and who worship an ancient rock icon call Freddie Mercury. A man whom calls himself Buddy Holly is the leader of the group and he is the one with the greatest understanding of what rock is because he has spent his life studying the history rock and roll. Enter young Galileo and Scaramuche who have been rejected by their peers because they refuse to conform to normal society. Killer Queen's henchman Khashoggi  arrest the duo and attempts to brainwash them but they escape and eventually find themselves among the rebels where they become leaders and eventually heroes. All through the show are some of Queen's greatest songs like We Are The Champions, We Will Rock You and Killer Queen not to mention a potpourri rock and roll puns and tributes to rocks greatest musician.
