About A Christmas Carol

This Timeless Classic, A Christmas Carol, was written by Dickens before the Christmas of 1843 for good reason.  Exploring important themes such as Family & Forgiveness, Greed & Generosity, perhaps one of the most important themes was that of Tradition.  Restoring the 'Christmas Spirit' & holding fast to our Faith in our Traditions is important not only for Scrooge, but for all of us!

As a believing artist I know firsthand the power of the Lord's redemption!  One of the things I love most about this story is that Scrooge was always within redemption's reach- he just needed to hear it & choose it!

In honor of the 'Radio Play' style we sought to begin our production in a radio station setting; a throwback to the golden era of the 1940s.  As soon as we established the radio station setting, our vision was to dive into the creative minds of the actors as they told the story.  Thus seeing a little more  of a certain set piece that would represent Scrooge's Home for example.  The costumes & minimal props also start to take on the feel of 1840s London as the actors 'become' the characters.

Our prayer is that each audience member is moved by the power of this message.

In the words of our Tiny Tim: "God Bless Us Everyone!"

Blessings,

Director Kriste' Johnson
