About Oklahoma!

The Blue Mountain College Fine Arts Department is excited to produce the musical Oklahoma! Oct. 3-6. The Oct. 3rd performance will be a matinee at 9:30 am with a special welcome to our school-aged and senior patrons. The rest of the performances will be held at 7:30 pm. All performances will be held in Garrett Hall Auditorium.

Oklahoma! takes place in the American West during the early 1900s and portrays the challenges of young love. The Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Pulitzer Prize winning show has one of the more memorable scores in Broadway history.

We have a talented cast and crew comprised of students from Blue Mountain College and New Albany High School.

This will be the third time that Blue Mountain college has produced this classic musical, and we are thrilled to honor the past casts, directors and the Fine Arts Chapter of the Alumni Association on Saturday, Oct. 6th.

Please join us as we honor the 75th anniversary of this classical tale of love and survival in the sweeping prairies of OKLAHOMA!

Blue Mountain College

Blue Mountain College is a Christian liberal arts college, and our Fine Arts Department desires to represent our college well in teaching and public performances in gratitude to God. If you become a student at Blue Mountain College within this department we pledge to help you cultivate your performing skills through private instruction and participation in Chorale, worship leadership teams, and staged musical productions. We strive to equip you with skills that will enable you to become gifted teachers, choral conductors, and theater directors, as well as performers and artists. We also work and teach to inspire you and encourage your passion for the arts so that you may inspire, teach, and lead others to use their gifts as well. Furthermore, if you are being called to a ministry in music, worship leadership, or the theatre, we commit ourselves to equip you and confirm God’s call on your life to glorify Him in all that you do and to lead His people in glorious worship.
