Emily Hisey (Claire - Apartment Life)
Emily Hisey has loved theatre since she was chosen to play the coveted role of Twinkle the Christmas Angel at age nine - she’s been escaping reality ever since. Past stage credits include Jane Eyre, Dancing at Lughnasa, Doubt, and A Year With Frog and Toad. Emily is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such talented and hardworking artists. “Enjoy the show and thank you for supporting live theatre!”
Alyssa Crowley (Linda - Apartment Life/Gail - Road Kill)
Alyssa is 22 years old and currently works as an analyst in TestAmerica's Wet Chemistry department following her time in Malone University's Forensic Chemistry program. Previous stage credits include Perfecting the Kiss (Narrator), And Then There Were None (Vera Claythorne), The Vagina Monologues (Ensemble), and Among the After (Juliet/Fight Choreography Extra). Alyssa also enjoys directing theatre, documentary filmmaking, poetry writing, and podcasting and would to return to these forms of expression. She thanks everyone who has shown up to support the arts - "let's keep allowing each other's voices to take up space."
Manuel Halkias (Super - Apartment Life)
Manuel is 53 years old and received a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education from University of Akron and is licensed to teach English, Speech, Theatre, and Journalism. He currently works as an educator and the director of speech and debate at McKinley High School. Previous stage credits include It’s a Wonderful Life (Clarence Odbody), The Laramie Project (Actor), Screwtape (Wormwood), The Rocky Horror Show (Narrator), and The Dry Season (Pete). A huge thank you to every director, stage manager, crew member, actor and audience member who have each made him a better actor and human being. “I love you all”.
Rene Perez (Jill - Apartment Life/Marie - Road Kill)
Rene’ is 49 years old and received her Bachelor’s in Nursing and Education from Malone University and her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Ashland University. In the past, Rene’ has been seen in productions such as Aida (Female Ensemble), It’s a Wonderful Life (Aunt Tilly), Godspell (Player), The Fate of the Furious (Extra), and I’m Having an Affair With My Wife (Officer Blake). Rene’ is a massive Star Wars fan and would like to thank her sister, Malai Evans, who passed away at the age of 51 this year from breast cancer, for getting her involved in theatre when she was in high school.
Denise Young-Robb (Mrs. Cooper - Apartment Life)
Denise is 71 years old and is a retired contract technical writer after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University. Denise has actively been performing in multiple venues in a plethora of productions such as Doubt (Sr. Aloysius), Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None (Emily Brent), The Importance of Being Earnest (Lady Bracknell), Side by Side by Sondheim (Ensemble), and Loves Labours Lost (Princess). Denise is proud graduate of Leadership Stark County and has two adult sons and an awesome 11-year-old granddaughter who is an accomplished ballet dancer.
Keenan Carosielli (Dr. Vargas-Apt. Life/Dwayne - Road Kill)
Keenan is 18 years old and has been no stranger to the stage, having been recently seen in productions such as Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None (Anthony Marsten), Bent (Wolfgang Granz), Godspell (Player), Of Mice and Men (Curley), and It’s a Wonderful Life (Harry Bailey/Sam Wainright). He would like to thank his family for their continued support.
Mark Dillard (John - Apartment Life/Father - Road Kill)
Mark is 40 years old and currently works for the Social Security Administration. No stranger to the performing arts realm in Canton, Ohio, Mark has been previously seen in productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar (Pontius Pilate), Godspell (John The Baptist/Judas), The Little Mermaid (King Triton), and Ragtime (Booker T. Washington). He would like to send out a “thank you” to his lovely wife, Racquel, and his kids, Bella and Donnie, for their continued support.
Cheryl Foutz (Edna - Apartment Life)
Cheryl currently works as a senior analyst at The Timken Company by day and hits the stage at many local theatres by night. She has been seen in 35 productions over the last 15 years at venues such as Avenue Arts, Canal Fulton Players, Carnation City Players, Players Guild Theatre, and more. Some of her favorite productions have been It Shoulda Been You (Aunt Sheila/Mimsy), The Addams Family (Ancestor), and A Christmas Carol (Mrs. Fezziwig/Molly). Cheryl’s favorite aspect of theatre is meeting new people and performing with her daughter and other theatre friends, especially in musicals and dramas.
