David Lee
David Lee has served as the Artistic Director at Avenue Arts Marketplace and Theatre since the conception of the theatre company in 2017. He has had the pleasure of working with a diverse group of actors including youngsters as the Director of the young actors workshop each fall and spring. Some of his favorite shows with the the Junior class are “Annie JR”, “Willy Wonka JR”and “Shrek JR”. David also understands the importance in the development of new works and has formed a company of actors called “Underground” that preforms staged readings of new works. David is a Canton, Ohio native and attended Malone University where he was trained in the Michael Chekhov Technique of acting and revived and B.A. in Communication, Visual and Preforming Arts.

Emily Hisey
Emily Hisey has loved theatre since she was chosen to play the coveted role of Twinkle the Christmas Angel at age nine - she’s been escaping reality ever since. Past stage credits include Jane Eyre, Dancing at Lughnasa, Doubt, and A Year With Frog and Toad. Emily is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such talented and hardworking artists. “Enjoy the show and thank you for supporting live theatre!”

Sarah Tuft (Playwright)

Sarah’s play, MARVEL-OUS MONICA; IN WHICH MONICA LEWINSKY IS A SUPERHERO HELL-BENT ON REVENGE, was developed and presented at the 2018 National Playwrights Conference at The O’Neill with Giovanna Sardelli directing. It’s also had readings at The Last Frontier Theatre Conference, IAMA Theatre Company, and The Museum of Jewish Heritage. Her play, 110 STORIES, has been developed/read at theaters including Geffen Playhouse, The Public Theater, Vineyard Theatre, Toledo Rep and with Gregory Moser directing at Manhattan’s Skirball Center with actors including Billy Crudup, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Edie Falco, James Gandolfini, Neil Patrick Harris, Samuel L. Jackson, Melissa Leo, Tony Shalhoub, and Kathleen Turner. 110 STORIES is published by Playscripts and has been produced in over twenty states and abroad. Sarah’s other plays have been read at EST’s Lexington Center, Monster Box Theatre, Naked Angels’ Tuesdays@9, Sundog Theatre, Toledo Rep, and 24Hour Plays. Sarah has blogged for HuffPost, Indiewire Women and Hollywood, and The New York Times. Awards include 2018 Humanitas Play LA Workshop finalist, Austin Film Festival Playwriting Competition, and a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship. With an MFA from Pratt Institute, Sarah came to playwriting from painting, photography, and filmmaking. A member of the Dramatists Guild and Antaeus Playwrights Lab, Sarah teaches dramatic writing at SF Creative Writing Institute.
