Director
Jake Schwartz
Jake Schwartz is a Theater & Communications major at the U of MD, and he's thrilled to be making his directorial debut with this production of EMMA! A POP MUSICAL. Some previous acting credits include THE ADDAMS FAMILY (Lucas Beineke, Stand Up For... Theatre) and EMMA! A POP MUSICAL (Jeff Knightley, NDP). When he's not working on something theater related, Jake is most likely sleeping, eating, or watching a Marvel movie somewhere. Jake would like to thank his Musical Director Darwin Ray, his rehearsal pianist Lisa Learman, his choreographers Jillian Paige & Joan Firestein, and his amazing partner-in-crime/stage manager Lydia West, as well as the people he asked for directing advice (Melissa Broy Fortson, Paul Diem, Mike Zellhofer, and Ed Higgins), and the board of ASoB for trusting a 21-year-old to direct a full-fledged musical, and finally his incredible cast for not only working with him; but allowing him to be their friendly neighborhood director. I Love You 3000.

Stage Manager
Lydia West
Lydia is not a stage manager--she's totally faking it. But she's had much fun pretending to manage the EMMA! cast, crew, and stage. Her 2019 credits include PUFFS (Xavia Jones, ASoB and Street Lamp Theatre), THE STORY OF US (Laura, Strand Theatre), HAMLET (Gertrude, Arena Players), and co-writing/directing A DAY IN THE LIFE Day at Randallstown High (where she serves as a Theatre Sponsor). Lydia also serves as a board member at Artistic Synergy of Baltimore. She always thanks her two loves: Scott and Lukas!
