Set in the fictional, run down “Skid Row,” Little Shop tells the story of Seymour Krelborn, a down-on-his-luck orphan employed at Mushnik’s flower shop. Seymour is in love with Audrey, his co-worker at the shop, but she is in a relationship with a sadistic, evil dentist, though she also has feelings for Seymour. Little Shop of Horrors spoofs 1960’s horror and Sci-Fi film with a blend of dark humor, campy comedy and upbeat musical theater magic. The show features a giant, talking plant puppet, a chorus of singing and dancing street Urchins and a crowd-pleasing score, including “Suddenly Seymour,” “Somewhere That’s Green,” the Dentist’s over-the-top rock song and more.
WHO IS LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS APPROPRIATE FOR?
Little Shop of Horrors is appropriate for Upper Elementary age and older audience members. While the show contains some moments with mature/scary content, it is primarily a comedic spoof of 60s/70s pulp-horror movies. Parents may want to read a synopsis before deciding to bring young children. Scenes depict death, mild violence, mild language.

Troupe 8540, we are the Warriors. The goal of ALA Ironwood Theatre Company is to provide our students and staff with high quality theatrical experiences.
This is our second year as an active troupe with Arizona Thespians. We participate in State and Regional competition events as well as Leadership Camp in the summer. We are proud to be training the performers and theatrical technicians of tomorrow.
